I admire this thread very much, and the way you phrased the ping, too. Thank you for thinking of me.

And crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea!

WHY ISN'T THE @$$%$~! MEDIA COVERING THIS STORY?! All we hear about are the latest car bomb attacks. Has anyone in the media even covered one story like this? It's journalistic malpractice- unbelievable.

What a sweet photo! Marines have many skills, but somehow I doubt that Chief Master Sergeant John Gebhardt learned to open his heart this way out on the firing range :-)

Thanks, Mr. Silverback! Not that we need motivation around here ... but what a sweet picture.
I only wish I could do more! I have a Republican Congresswoman in a safe seat, no Senate election in my state, and my state rep and state senator are unopposed.
I'll be out at the polls campaigning for Republican state judges, but nothing that affects the national picture will happen here.

I voted within half an hour of the polls opening. I was #37 and had to stand in line. Very unusual for a midterm election.

Wild horses nor terrorists could keep me (and mine) from the polls today. My immediate family represents 8 registered CONSERVATIVE voters.
Get out and do it, people.
