I don't agree with the "stay home" sentiment that 9999lakes proposes, but I must confess that I do share the angst over the exclusive emphasis on monetary elements of the Republican platform (tax cuts) and the absolute lack of emphasis on the moral elements of the Republican platform (pro-life, pro-marriage).
This sort of approach smacks of taking the Christian base -- the very base that got the Republicans elected and re-elected in the past six years -- entirely for granted. They feel like they've been getting no support, so is it any wonder why they don't feel the RINOs of today are entitled to any?
It's a valid gripe...and one that nobody has appropriately addressed apart from waving around a Dhimmicrat scarecrow.
