Do you think the majority of Israeli's would prefer that to the present system?

Probably not...but the majority might be prepared to settle for half a loaf...rather than the bitter rations of being outnumbered by muslim arabs.

Because it has no philosophical reason for its own existance. It has led the country to the dead end it is now facing.
I am reminded now of something Arthur Koestler wrote...paraphrasing...if you're Jewish, go to live in Israel, if you're not, (secular)stay where you are and asimmilate.

Yes, and as soon as the arabs hit 40-50%, they will quickly create an Israel that is also "free of Jews."
