We have lost a few Allen signs in SW VA but the Marriage signs have all been stolen, multiple times.
Once church near here had 5 marriage yard signs and 2 marriage 4 by 8 signs trashed.
I guess tolerance is a one-way street.
Here in Powhatan the Marriage Amendment signs along Rt. 60 disappeared quickly (with one exception) but the ones in neighborhoods seem to be ok. There are about 4-5 on my street.
You should get worked up about it. As one man told me about his Bush sign being stolen in '04: "They're invading my property -- to deny my freedom of speech."
The GOP signs have been pulled all over Fairfax County. I wish one of them would try to pull the sign in my yard. I also wish I will see them.

All I'm saying is that it happens all the time. And both sides are guilty.
That doesn't make it right. But unless they're caught in the act, there's really nothing you can do about it.
I've only seen one Webb sign so far here in Powhatan. Same house near the high school that had a HUGE Kaine sign up for the Governor's race.
All the Allen and marriage amendment signs in my neighborhood have been safe.
I believe they steal and deface signs a lot more than we do.
The idea that "there's really nothing you can do about it" unless you catch them in the act is nonsense. That's the kind of passive, lazy, kick-me mentality that has allowed the Rats to run this country for the last 75 years. There are always things we can do. We can prevent some, though not all, of it. We can make a stink when (as usual) the cops do nothing. We can use it to insult the other side, to educate the stupid moderates who vote for the Rats, and to get our people fired up. We can figure out ways for our signs to be less vulnerable.
Don't go around saying "there's nothing you can do." It only encourages the Rats, and discourages the patriots.
If you must keep up that passive, do-nothing attitude, at least don't share it with others. Keep it to yourself.
The Webb signs are few and far between in Powhatan, that's for sure. Their one big splash is the barn on 288.
*whatever*
I HATE that barn....lol!
I must admit it was funny when Tim Kaine won and they plastered a big "WooHoo!" banner above his name. Well, it was funny for about 30 seconds anyway.
Allen better win on Tuesday or we'll be looking at WooHoo! over Webb's name for the next six years.
