Nope, it was in our local paper. I did take some pics and posted a thread yesterday. It's here:

He really did look fresh and at ease, and gave a very powerful speech, accompanied by his trademark humor. It was a great day!
One - some of the folks in that photo WERE actually sending a plea for help.
The other's recognized Kerry's joke as a joke - and joined in on the fun.
In no way do I see any disrespect shown or intended.
At least that's what I would say if I were these soldiers' commander. (I imagine these same statements are being made over at DU.)
Outstanding.
Well done. Again, my congratulations.
You are one lucky Nevada resident! Thanks for the link. I hope to see him live someday. We'll see.
I own it!
Now that sounds plausible to me. After all, even the Senator had trouble telling a "joke".
Perhaps you just misunderstood thier "botched" joke. ;-)
They don't have any evidence upon which to reprimand them. Kerry's name is not on the banner. Judges are sticklers for those details.
My truck now sports a bumper sticker one of my sons made for me: "Thank a Vet, Vote Republican"
Understand the direction you are heading Chief, but this was probably just another "botched joke".
Sheesh! Just when you think you typed something original, you find out at least five other FReepers can draw quicker'n you. That ALWAYS happens to me. Bummer!
Saw the photo... gotta say I giggled out loud. Congrats!
Good job up in the northland, cop. Down in Salmon where I live we miss out on a lot of the attention...but there are so few democrats in Lemhi County they hold their meetings in a phone booth.
Mickey Mantle.
Is it a violation to privately plan on the assasination of Senators? Hmmm. We'll have to axe Johnny hisself about that one!
Question:
Why, in the week before a critical election is the VP in Hayden ID, and the Pres in Elko, NV?

I don't know, but it was quite a thrill to see the VP last night. Why should people in North Idaho not be visited by the Vice President? We are pretty loyal to the conservative cause.
