Sounds like a plan.
Oh really? It's happening quicker than we thought. That doesn't mean that islam is going to take over, but that there are major fundamental changes happening in the world and happening quicker. We are probably approaching some kind of crisis and everything will be different after. Big changes are on the way.
Bin Laden has fawta's in hand from several Muslim clerics that authorize his use of weapons of mass destruction against the United States, and has had them for some time. Azzam the American aka Adam Gadahn has repeatedly warned American's to repent and convert to Islam. These two actions are being taken by Bin Laden in response to a great deal of criticism he received from the Muslim world after 9/11, and Bali.
Al Qaeda has repeatedly urged Muslims to leave the United States. This is because they know in the aftermath of what they have planned Americans will turn harshly against Muslims in their midst and there will be a lot of retaliation and likely internment. GWB is trying to prevent this btw, but being hampered by Democrats at every turn.
All I can say is I hope most of you are at least moderately prepared with a plan to get in contact with your loved ones, food, water, a radio, and weapons.
The people with a dozen nukes have every intention of using them.
Why doesn't a moderate moslem cleric issue a fatwa canceling all these murderous fatwas and we can all go on about our business?

Statements like Muslims must leave America to avoid an attack are ridiculous.
To me it's like bears prior to bear hunting season asking the trees to leave the forest. - tom
It's a certainity that more than half of Americans believe something like a WMD strike could never happen, and an even greater certainity that many of these people believe it can't happen because it hasn't happened yet. The most fallacious argument as to why something won't happen I have ever heard, but one that repeated quite often.
Maybe so, but the scariest nuke is the one that goes off close to you.
susie
That's an article of faith. Even if they have them, which they may or may not, and even if they use them, which they may or may not, not all nukes are equivalent. A dozen 20 kt nukes cannot do the destruction and damage that a dozen 20 mt nukes can do. If we are struck with a dozen 20 kt nukes we may choose to curl up and die or we may not. If we are struck with 10,000 20 mt nukes we will not only be history, the history will also be incinerated and survivors will be looking for good rocks to use to hunt radioactive cockroaches and spiders for dinner.
If we are scared that means the terrorists have failed. We are to feel terror, that's what terrorists try to create. If we don't feel terror and aren't particularly scared, then terrorists are irrelevant. Frankly, a vicious squirrel attack is scarier since the chance of contracting rabies is not zero. Fear the rabid squirrel if you must be scared of something on earth; do not fear the possibly existent or possibly nonexistent nuke.
They only need a few small nukes to bring America to it's knees. It isn't necessary utilize many or extremely powerful nuclear weapons to destroy America economically.
Bin Laden could easily do it with one or two small nukes. Anything else is gravy.
The Rand report looked a 10 kiloton device set off in the port of long beach and concluded.
Within the first 72 hours, the attack would devastate a vast portion of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Because ground-burst explosions generate particularly large amounts of highly radioactive debris, fallout from the blast would cause much of the destruction. In some of the most dramatic possible outcomes:
Sixty thousand people might die instantly from the blast itself or quickly thereafter from radiation poisoning.
One-hundred and fifty thousand more might be exposed to hazardous levels of radioactive water and sediment from the port, requiring emergency medical treatment.
The blast and subsequent fires might completely destroy the entire infrastructure and all ships in the Port of Long Beach and the adjoining Port of Los Angeles.
Six million people might try to evacuate the Los Angeles region.
Two to three million people might need relocation because fallout will have contaminated a 500 square kilometer area.
Gasoline supplies might run critically short across the entire region because of the loss of Long Beachs refineries responsible for one-third of the gas west of the Rockies.
They also report the economic costs would exceed 1 trillion.
They've already shown that they they are very patient & willing to take as much time as they need to accomplish their goal. The first WTC bombing was in '93. It didn't go as they planned, so they regrouped & came up with something else. Over 8 years later.
It didn't have that effect on Atta. He still got on the plane 9/11.
But hey, if you want to live with the illusion that the GOP can do no wrong, go right ahead. Just get used to disappointment if you think I'll be on board with that brand of lunacy.
Cindy - check out ThirdMates' post.
Fodder for the FRingers.
Yep. Sooner or later at least one will say he hopes Al-Qaeda attacks already so it can be used as an excuse to "impeach BuSHIT".
What a Travisty!
Hehe, pun intended? :-)
Pretty Cagey, huh?
I like it. :-)
All-American Cagey!
Come on girls share your secret.....
Thanks.
I'm looking for that paddle about now. But I'm not seeing one.
That is where the threat is bogus. The real danger is blast and fire. The blast will be limited to a given radius and fire, as we have just seen, will be the major area-wide effect. Fire will go for miles. Once the fire burns out, which will be the course of events since firefighters will not have any effect at all, the event will be over and recovery may commence. The immediate problem will be medical, water, food, and shelter, in various degrees of severity.
