Hi GBUSA, have been trying to stay away from politics until the election is over but Kerry's comments got me back into the fray this week. Will be so glad when this election is over, it's been particularly ugly this time around.

About 4 years ago, we had such a mild winter, newcomers from California wondered what the big deal was about. We barely got any snow and I was able to work out in the yard all winter long.
That's the winter I want.

Me too! That sounds wonderful working in the yard during winter. :) Last year, I was walking on the beach in January and it was so nice.
I remember last year around this time, we both were praying for a mild winter. We deserved it after those horrendous winters the few years before last. :) It was quite a few years in a row, it was just one blizzard after another. 0 degrees and negatives too.

The only thing that wrecked last winter was the spring - we got our winter then!
It was like sitting through a long mesmerizing movie only to have an end that ruins the whole thing.

Usually Friday night we just have pot luck here. My daughter went to a school function with Dad. So my son talked me into taking him out. :) I had steak. It was delicious. Especially since I didn't make it. LOL How about you?
Thanks for the link to the cookies. That will be fun to do with my daughter around the holidays. I think she would enjoy making Gingerbread men cookies. :)

Yes, exactly. I rather have winter than dread spring again. We don't want to wear coats in May again. ;)

It's nice to see you! :) Politics can really get over the top right now. I can't wait till it's over also. Praying the results are good too.
Today my son had to get his flu shot. It was such a long wait. The worse thing about it, they had ABC tv on in waiting room. They kept playing liberal campaign ads one after the other-- Every commercial break. So it's almost needless to say, it made me nuts watching for well over an hour. LOL!

We want those coats stored in May. :) That was weird. By May, I can't wait to get in the garden. It's really a let down when it's too cold to plant in May.

You poor thing. We just changed doctors but the one we did have used to keep his TV set on CNN - under lock and key in a clear plastic box. That's unusual behavior for this part of the world. lol
He probably went to one of those lefty colleges.
