Just now got in and watched the clip,
Kerry should be tarred and feathered and rode out of washington on a rail!
How anyone can listen to him and NOT understand his projection, and I don't mean unconcious projection but
projection used as a propaganda tool, everything he said
was what democrats have and are doing to this country!
Still, they have played right into Rovian hands on this,
they first try to make this election into something about
domestic issues but that didn't catch fire so all they have left is turning themselves into the victims of "rabid republican hate". Pathetic!
As yet we have seen and heard NO, I repeat NO "plan" to deal with our foreign policy of any kind, not strategy of
any kind, only vicious hateful attacks on our commander in chief while they that done all in their power to thwart, obstruct, and cause the failure of this administrations efforts to deal with the enemies we face.
Damn him to hell.
He slanders the troops now as he slandered us then, we
will not stand for it, he should apologize or step down, we
have had enough of his lies and deceit.

John Kerry is the quintessential Democrat. If his lips are moving, he is lying. He know that the original interpretation of his comment was correct. He just let his elite biases come out without thinking about what he was saying. He really believes that if you fail in education and are not Harvard or Yale bound, then your doomed to end up in the military in Iraq. I am sur ehe thinks that is wasting your life instead of honorably serving your country.

Gee would I love to be a fly on the wall and hear what Hillary and other leading dems are saying about this last minute blunder. I think Kerry may have blown his 2008 chances (although he will try nonetheless).
To: Grampa Dave
Kerry said the comment in question was "a botched joke about the president and the president's people, not about the troops ... and they know that's what I was talking about." No they don't, and to be correct, Kerry you're the joke.

Looks like Kerry was reading
this year-old article from the Austin American Mis-Statesman.....
"But there is something ominously wrong with a democratic nation that protects its affluent youth from harm, and from service, while putting disadvantaged young people into a meat grinder overseas. There is something disturbing about a nation that beats the drum of patriotism but lets its most privileged young people believe that military service is for losers." - Gary Chapman, REGULAR CONTRIBUTOR Monday, November 07, 2005
Don't tell us that the left hasn't been immersed in this thinking for YEARS.
Yes. I'm cross-posting this all over the place...but there ya go.

Chris Matthews has been blowing hard with the proposition that Kerry's comments were taken out of context. Matthews has also backed the contention that the context of the speech was about Bush's failures and that therefore Kerry was referring to Bush not the Soldiers. It dosen't make sense, especially when you consider that Kerry prefaced his comments by saying exactly "I am here to discuss Education but before I get into that (then he makes his quote about studying). SO........... whatever the context of the speech, Kerry himself exempeted these comments by setting it apart and saying "before I get into that...." It is clear that when you do get into the context, that there is no way to twist this statement (or botched joke as Kerry states) and turn this into a comment on Bush and not the soldiers. Verbatum he stated to the students that YOU need to study.....and if not YOU (Not Bush) will end up in Iraq. IN SHORT THOSE THAT END UP IN IRAQ ARE THE LOOSERS IN SOCIETY.
If this is a botched joke, he should be called to task and unbotch it and restate it where it comes out that it is Bush that didn't study and Bush that didn't work hard and Bush that ended up in Iraq. (side note, I believe it was Bush that did study and got a MBA from Harvard and got higher grades than Kerry, therefore, the "not studying" or getting good grades and getting Smart would point more towards Kerry than Bush). HE IS A PATHETIC LIAR that won't account for his own comments.
BTW, is a joke an excuse for denegrating a large group of Americans. DO YOU THINK that if a Republican was "Joking" and used the N-word and later said it was a "botched joke" that it would be excused without and apology or even with an apology for that matter.

My goodness. I thought that Drudge had given us the gist of kerry's non-apology, and that it was fairly brief.
That was practically a whole State of the Union Address. He must be dreaming that he is back in the days of the College Debating Society.
What a creep.

Kerry is a secret Rovian Republican plant. There is a chip in his virtual brain that can be activated as necessary.
There can be no other explanation.

Here is a perfect example of using one's education to the fullest extent, IMO. Become a representative of your party..a presidential nominee, no less...and then make really stupid, asinine, inflammatory comments about our military...the week before an election. When your hand is called.. DO NOT just say..I was misunderstood or some other political speak..be belligerent. Make some who may have been apathetic get their dander up.
Thank you, John, for your brilliant intellect. I hope (and will breath a deep sigh of relief) if you receive the Dem nomination in '08. You are one smart guy.
Sadly, the MSM will clean this all up.
