They could have abstained in certain elections but they chose to endorse Schmuck Schumer - who opposed both John Roberts and Alito - and now Hillary and Spitzer - disgusting. They used to be the "conservative" tabloid but no longer.

Newspapers are more intereted in endorsing winners than good candidates.

In 1970, I distinctly remember, the Westchester-Rockland Newspapers, run by liberal Gannett, endorsed the liberal Republican Governor Nelson Rockefeller, the Democrat comptroller Arthur Levitt, Attorney General Louis B. Lefkowitz (Republican-Liberal), and...James L. Buckey, the Conservative Party candidate for U.S. Senate. All of them won, but other than trying to be on the winning side, I can't figure out what the editorial board could have been thinking.

This is when an outflow becomes a flood:

New York Is Losing People at Fastest Pace in America
By DANIELA GERSON
Staff Reporter of the Sun
April 20, 2006

New York State is losing more residents than any other state in the country, according to U.S. Census Bureau statistics released early today.

Based on surveys taken between 2000 and 2004, the figures show that New York replaced California as the net migration outflow leader, with an average of 182,886 people leaving a year, nearly double California's average for the same period. California led the nation between 1990 and 2000.

The findings track the state-to-state movement in America. They do not include international immigration numbers.

The New York City metropolitan region - which includes Long Island and parts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania - also leads the country in migration outflow, with an average of 211,014 leaving a year....

Comment: No need to turn off the lights on the way out. They have already dimmed.

It's Back to the Future under Democrat control of either house of Congress:

"We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not
the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance" -- John F. Kerry, art collector

Who could ever question the patriotism of a Democrat who simply wants
to do some housecleaning of 3,000 Little Eichmans now and again? /sarc.

Sure: anybody with more than $2 in the bank should consider leaving. However, what bothers me is when the libs go to a state such as North Carolina, or Virginia, and try to make mischief there by taking their lousy values with them.

They could have been thinking "We need favors from Hillary" and "Eliot won't prosecute us for who knows what". I hope they enjoy losing their readership.

I can read it online. No need to give them my money. I am disgusted with them - and that includes the attacks on Jeanine Pirro while they have forgotten Andrew Cuomo's disgusting divorce.

To say they're not endorsing Faso and Spencer because they can't win is tantamount to admitting they are not making endorsements but feathering their own nest for the future.

The headline should read, "Headless Paper Found in Topless Trash Bin: Post Sells Out and Advertises the Fact."

I wouldn't put it past Hillary to suggest that her vote on the Fairness Doctrine and other issues affecting the media could be bought. Not that I'm letting Rupert off the hook. He has a weakness for expensively groomed women who are high achievers. Well, I have news for him: Hillary rode her little pantsuited @$$ in on her husband's coattails. She's no Judith Regan and she's no Jane Friedman. She's not the equal of the lowest-achieving woman who did it on her own.

Once again, the vaunted NYC press shows how it has no stomach to go against Her Heinous. They rolled over for her in 2000 and here they are again. The Post can't get enough of their girl Hill, I guess.

John Faso on WABC radio yesterday mentioned that Spitzer wants to give drivers licenses to illegal immigrants - more documentation so that those who break the law can eventually vote - Democratic, of course.
