Lieberman never served in Congress. He ran and lost.

As much as I despise Lieberman, who is nothing but another liberal Dem at heart, it is still gratifying to see the voters slap down the leftwing antiwar moonbats and their allies in the Democrat Media.

I sincerely hope that we don't find Ned Lament hanging from a beam in the basement of his 10,200 sq ft,9 bedroom,12 bath bungalow in lilly white Greenwich,CT on 11/8.

Lieberman never served in Congress.
The Senate in which Lieberman has served isn't a part of Congress?

"Lieberman's rebound shows how difficult it is to knock off an incumbent, especially one who was the party's vice presidential nominee in 2000 and who has deeply entrenched support after almost four decades in Congress, the state Senate and as Connecticut's attorney general."
No it doesn't. It shows that when demonrats run their typical wet dream, (a crazy liberal) vs a regular liberal, people, even Northeastern liberals, understand the crazy liberal is waaay too much and vote accordingly.

Three months ago, Sen. Joe Lieberman was written off as political roadkill after being beaten by Greenwich businessman Ned Lamont in a Democratic primary that was seen as a referendum on the 18-year incumbent's support for the Iraq war. My, what a short memory young Master Zachary has
The author means written off by our betters in the media, not by the ignorant slobs who actually vote.

First, I am surprised that Lieberman hasn't self-destructed. After his performance during impeachment and then as VP candidate, I was certain that he'd flip-flop his way to a loss.
Second, how is it possible that a get-the-job-done-in-Iraq candidate isn't losing in a place like CT to a cut-and-run candidate like Lamont? I expect the stay-the-course sentiment is much more widespread throughout the country than reported in the Big Media. I guess we'll see on election day.

It will be interesting to note the difference in treatment that Lieberman receives from the same media who were lionizing Jumpin' Jim Jeffords for his "independence" not so very long ago.

Zachary Coile must live in a cave.
- political roadkill - ?!?!?
- Lieberman now appears poised to win -- 'Now', what????
- Lieberman's rebound -- "rebound", huh?!?
Utter nonsense.

Maybe in MA but where I'm from, Congress, at least in common parlance, refers to the House.

Ha-Ha. And if the Dems fail to take either the House or the Senate, there's going to be a lot of liberals hanging from a beam in their parent's basement on the night of Nov 7th. (Credit to another Freeper who came up with a similar line).

"The latest polls also show that Lamont's anti-war message, which propelled him to victory in the Aug. 8 Democratic primary and made him a hero to the left, hasn't been enough to win over middle-of-the road voters, even in a staunchly anti-war state like Connecticut."
I thought the media told me that everyone in America was against this war. If that is true then Lamont must be winning in a slam dunk state like Conneticut.
It kind of makes you wonder whether the media might have it wrong nationally if they cannot figure out a small state like Conneticut.

Perhaps, but Lieberman is still a liberal Democrat. On domestic policy, yes. But at least he is still a hawk on foreign affairs. We used to call these "Scoop Jackson Democrats."
