My big suspicion here is that the Nightline producers needed an extra day to gather selective info to smear the FR. Maybe I'm wrong and I hope I am but my suspicion antennea went up when the broadcast was delayed.

I forced myself to watch the first half hour of Nightline last evening. When it didn't appear that the FR segment would run, I turned off the tv.

Now I have to watch it again tonight???? Ug.

Damn those Nightline producers. They probably needed more time to stack the deck and obtain soundbites supporting the dixie chicks.

Or, perhaps it was a test to see how much their viewship would rise if the FR minions tuned in.

Thank you for once again representing us all so well. Interesting the lamestream media isn't even aware of the status of their own industry, ala Katie Couric. But that tells us a lot too.

If they want a fight with FR, they'll get one. And lose big time. We're simply much too smart for them.

It sounds like you did a great job. Its unfortunate that they botched the first interview. I wonder if that was deliberate so that they would know exactly what you would reply and by doing it a second time eliminate certain questions.

I heard about FR while on a sports message board. They had a political section called Swamp Gas and someone with the nic "Gator Pat" kept posting articles from Free Republic...the rest is history!!

I first learned about FR and Drudge through a hit piece in the New York Times Magazine Section.

The NYT actually mentioned FR way back when? I first learned of FR while watching C-SPAN in December of 1998. Someone called the morning show and mentioned FR.
