Haven't gone to the link. But yes, the party was far worse than I alluded. There were numerous "moderate" adults in attendance who witnessed what went on in the outer and "special" rooms at that party. They have since left the state of California. They saw such rawness, and knew, if they didn't march in lockstep with this "initiation" party, they'd suffer very severe consequences. There were some very solid reasons why conservatives didn't broadspread the events at this party.
I was hoping for the same thing. The only possible reasonable explanation that I can think of (and I have not read the book or any other excerpts except for what is here) is that the person who is described committing these acts is actually some type of "bad guy" in the novel and the hero has to uncover what he did, prosecute him, and throw him in jail...
In my opinion, that would be the only "acceptable" answer. However, I do not think that is the case in this book.
Given that Imus has a young son I was hoping he didn't think the excerpts were representative of acceptable behaviour.
What a pig. Will the media cover this? I doubt it. It's beyond disgusting.
There you have it folks....if ole jim says it.....gotta be gospel.
"Graphic Sexual Content in Webb's Novels Questioned"

Hmm, she must've meant if elected president she would make Jesus illegal.
How is this mud? Did he not write these novels? Too many are turned off by the truth and call it mud. Allen didn't make this stuff up Webb did. And there are few Democrats that are worthy of anything IMHO.
I agree with the difference in running for Senate, but all the same, I didn't know this about Lynn's book and I am deeply disappointed. Deeply.
He's running for Senator.
So far the Main Scream Media isn't covering this.
After all, Michael J. Fox is coming to town for Webb and Tim Kaine said you can't smoke in state owned buildings or vehicles.
Media maybe but not the typical Christian Conservative Virginian voter that populate this great state outside of the DC suburbs. This is going to hurt Webb more than Macaca hurt Allen.
Yes, maybe folks in southside VA will find the passages disturbing enough to stop them from voting for Webb. But on the flip-side, "exposing" passages about forced oral sex and clever ways to cut a banana... that's just gonna get the Democrat base very excited about Webb.
The DUers are saying this story has been "debunked" because putting your mouth on a child's penis is a "cultural tradition" in Vietnam. I would love to see Webb take the microphone on defend this stuff using that logic.
From your posts on this thread, I would tend to disagree that you are 'fine.'
If a parent would not be disturbed that a child was reading the filth in those quotes, then the parent would be shirking his or her God given duty to 'raise up a child in the way he should go.'
I find it disturbing that someone who uses his faith in his screenname is so openly defiant of God's command to be pure.....
Exactly. And combine that with the fact that Senator Allen is making the rounds across the state in support of the Marriage Amendment.
Watch. The WaPo will run a story on A32 that about the history of poltician with embarrassing fiction writing in their past.
George Allen didn't start this. Jim Webb and his cohorts at the WashPo and other liberal media outlets did. And you know what? It worked. Allen dropped like a rock in the polls. Allen is simply returning fire, and now he's looking like he's going to win again. If you ask me, it about time Republicans fought back against this crap.
