Of course that's all true...but it still seems like a very unstable situation.

All in all, those markets are great for people who bought years ago, but impossible to enter for someone buying their first home unless they just won the Powerball.

There are a bunch of spin-offs to Zillow - the real Zillow does NOT require a name or regristration or anything. Go to Google - and type in Zillow. Then click on the link that is Zillow.com You're being misdirected to a bad website...

"Homeowners or Home debtors?"
WERD...unless you own your home free and clear, you are paying rent...either to the landlord, or to the bank for the use of their $$$.

That's the Zillow - you just can't change the stats on your home without registering.

SW PA. I work in a business peripheral to real estate and I've had occasion to see appraisals from other parts of the country.

Like politics, real estate is local. (mostly)

I've posted a couple times recently that a friend in HI (Big Island) says prices are down 20-30%, tons of inventory. He thinks it'll get worse. He's been in the business as a realtor and a builder for around 25 years. I gotta ask him what he knows about Oahu.
To: ErnBatavia
Ahhh, I never tried to change mine -- thanks for the information.
