A couple of weeks ago, I donated to Corker. He seems to have rebounded against the Ford Family. This coming Thursday is payday for me. I shall open my wallet for Steele, Kean, and Talent. Let's see if my money has the magic touch again :)

I'd definitely say that we aren't going to see Michael Steele doing fundraisers for Klansmen Senators as Obama has... if only because the GOP has no Klansmen, unlike our 'Rat opponents. Let's hope the good folks of West Virginny move into the 21st century by dumping the relic of hate from the 19th, Mr. Byrd, on November 7th.

Strike One - Mr. Steele wants Jesses Jackson to become a Senator, thats what you get if you support voting for D.C.

Lotta people gettin' fed up with the Bitch-o-Rama Marathon from the Dems. I'm back to my prediction in the spring:
Senate: +1 for the GOP.
House: +2 for the GOP.

If Washingtonians can't vote for the House of Representatives, then they shouldn't have to pay taxes. The rallying cry and fundamental principle of our Independence was "No taxation without representation." That applies even to government workers and yes, stormer, black people.
That doesn't mean they get Senators (only states get Senators), but they ought to have a voting member in the taxing body, the House of Representatives.

I really hope he wins this race. He gave a great convention speech in 2004. Seems like a very solid guy who won't take no guff.

Excuse me, but you are way off base with that comment, don't you dare imply that racist cr@p to me. I don't know where you are from, but you don't seem to know the debate about voting rights for the district that is pushed by the D.C. groups. I have no problem with D.C. getting a voting Rep as long as it's as part of MD and balanced by a Republican elsewhere. If D.C. residents what a voting rep than they should either move or lobby to become part of Maryland

Furthermore I would like to know if Mr. Steele supports D.C. voting right does he also support the commuter tax that D.C. is trying to impose on VA an MD. FYI Voting Rights for D.C. is a code word used by liberal groups around here.

Giving DC voting right means putting another Democrat in the House.
As for the Commuter tax we already pay that in the form of money coming from Congress to keep DC open.
Mr. Steele has many strong points, he stanbds head and shoulders above his opponent Cardin ,I wouldnt let one fault stop me from voting for him, since the rest of the republicans would never allow DC the vote anyway.

Go, Lt. Governor Steele. We're praying for you!
By the way, the Washington Post just endorsed Governor Ehrlich's campaign. I won't hold this against him though. That's trouble for the Leprachaun in the DC burbs!

Most of the area in the Nation's Capital should instead become Washington, Maryland.
The White House, the Capitol, and other federal building should remain part of Washington, D.C.

Not necessarily; there's more than one way to skin a cat. For example, if a State of New Columbia included DC plus its close-in (and Democrat) suburbs in MD and VA, it would be a boon to the GOP in gubernatorial, U.S. Senate and presidential elections. See
http://auh2orepublican.blogspot.com/2005/08/fair-and-reasonable-alternative-to-dc.html Besides, even if Steele does support a constitutional amendment giving DC voting rights in Congress, it will *never* pass. Steele needs to get a fair share of votes from Democrats in the DC suburbs, so it's smart for him to take such a position.

See my Post #19 on a plan that is much better than returning DC to MD (since doing so would make MD hopelessly Democrat).
