Mark is one of the most important FReepers I have come to know along with AliVeritas and Jim Robinson (in no particular order;).
He deserves better.

He is a little thin-skinned, and his reactions to criticism by Freepers seems to be extreme. Levin defines himself as "conservative", not "Republican", and my opinion is that he's trying to define the debate between the groups, but limit participation to people who praise his views only.

It's a distinguishment that we can't make amongst ourselves, much less expect the left to be able to make.

Like Alec Baldwin, for example. When Hannity and Levin were heckling him, did he blame conservatives, or Republicans?

When Miers couldn't get the support she needed, who took the heat?

Etc and so on. I'm tired of the so-called "conservatives" speaking for Republicans, because they aren't doing such a great job. I'm sure they feel the same way.

yeah I looked at it too. It doesn't mention any particular candidate but the propaganda is so thick you can cut it with a knife!

I can hardly believe the church is dumb enough to fall for this stupidity again just 30-40 years later. I've seen it in mostly 30 and 40 somethings who are too young to remember the 60's. (like me)

Go back and re-read the thread. Old Friend started the with the a-hole comment at Mark. She trashed him up and down one post after another while he was absent and without pinging him.

I have no dog in this fight but I am disgusted with this thread. What is really amazing to me is that certain posters are allowed to engage in trollish behavior and are never called on it by the mods as long as it done in so-called defense of the President or the RNC.

No, she added nothing substantive to this thread at all. Every comment was an insult. It is clear to me that she likes to stalk Levin on these threads and that makes her a troll.

There's hatred on both their parts apparently. She's not what we'd call a Levin regular and Tuesday's thread wasn't a normal one. As thread hostess I tried to smooth things but maybe I didn't do a good enough job. So sue me.

If you're still disgusted then maybe you should avoid this thread. For your own sense of propriety, of course.
