I think the idea was something more along the lines of:

Doubtless the scientist making the pronouncement is a hopeless geek and into anime. (Though if you know the anime she's from, you'll realize that besides robotics and AI it will take advances in IVF and neonatology before we can build one of those.) ^_^

Personally, I'm holding out for this model:

Though I'm afraid since I'm married, if I got one, she'd end up like the sister of the one depicted. (Yes, that's another obscure anime reference.)
