(1)There is/was no legal requirment in the NJ State agreement with the justice department (to delay implementation of Statewide voter registration, and to rely on county registration for this Nov 7 election) for the state to mail out these inquisitive notices (which purportedly have no affect on actual registration) at this particular moment, just two weeks before an election; just because such notice might be necessary at some point in the process (if they truly are).

(2)The Dimorats do not do anything without a political motive.

(3)Not able to find any neighbors this morning who had received this notice (all Dimorats), I checked with 15 more tonite (all Dimorats) - again, none have received the notice.

THE TIMING OF THE MAILING remains suspicious.

They don't, but they do know I am registered Republican, and none of my neighbors are.

"Probably because they reviewed their files at this time in preparation for Election Day and noticed the problem. Rather than wait until after the election, they sent the letter out right away to get it resolved, while reassuring you it wouldn't affect your right to vote."

Bull^&*^%$#.

(1)No NJ state agency is going to send out such notices, get them mailed back and process them IN TWO WEEKS TIME, at the eleventh hour before an election.

(2)(a)They say they are getting the registration info from the county records and (b)they imply that that record is missing my birthdate and (c)I happen to know, personally, that the county data is not missing my birth date.

So, why would they mail these notice as the last minute just before an election? It is the timing that is suspicious.

Did you receive the same notice? If you did, you should ask your neighbors you are on the best terms with and ask if they got the notice also. If they did not get the notice, it could be important.

1. I am not worried about my voter registration, or about being able to vote. I happen to know, personally, what my local and county voter registration record says, and it is the county records that continue to be the ruling authority. The state sytem is being dragged into it under a new federal law.

2.Yet, there is nothing missing the information that my county supplied to the state. (see one above).

3.So, it is not really a matter of anyone spooking me out of voting, or accepting that I am already validly registered.

4.But, I am not everyone and everyone is not as informed as I am and some elderly people who are not informed can read the stupid state letter, and due that letter and the upcoming election start to question their registration.

5.The Dimorats do not do anything without a political motive. No NJ state agency could send those letters out, get them mailed back and get them processed in a mere two weeks; and so far the problem the letter refers to appears to be (in my case) a bogus problem.

6.So what possible purpose can be achieve with a letter to solve a possible bogus problem in an impossible time frame achieve? Confusion.

7.In as much as I have so far failed to find any Dimorat neighbor who got the letter, one would conclude that someone hoped/hopes some elderly Republicans (NOT ME) who are uninformed/unsure of their registration status will, wrongly think they have a problem.

That is/would be a political motive with the letter.

My concern is not me or my ability to vote. The concern is the posssible political motivations in the TIMING of the letter.

THERE IS NO MISSING INFORMATION.

As I said in my post. I PERSONALLY KNOW WHAT IS IN MY OFFICIAL COUNTY (THEY ARE THE AUTHORITY) REGISTRATION RECORDS.

Look

I know how to read the letter correctly.

I know (personally) what my official local and county registration data says.

BUT IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS BEFORE AN ELECTION,

some elderly, and or extremely less well-informed people may be (a)confused and (b)out of confusion concerned, due to the letter.

There is nothing in terms of data correction that NJ state could have ever hoped to achieve by this mailing - mailing them out, getting them mailed back and process them - in two weeks time (even if the "missing" birthdate claim was not bogus). Therefore the process that they say there are engaged in CANNOT correct anything or have any impact on the November 7 elections - nothing legitimate that is.

But one thing it can do, with people less informed and less sure of themselves than I, is to confuse a few - right before the election.

I cannot see any other PRACTICAL motive to the mailing, because there is nothing else legitimate that it could achieve.

That, not my actual ability to vote is the concern.

My reservation comes from the fact that Kean Jr. states that Rumsfeld should resign, Hastert should resign, and then sticks his two cents into the embryonic stem cell debate.

Would a true Republican conservative do this?

I think not!.

So I will vote Republican down the line and write in Ronald Reagan for Senator.

Really, I would rather have a Senator that I know will not vote for my issues, than a Senator that I voted for that votes for their issues.

I cannot argue with your sentiments.

I was already against Kean; then a poll came out saying he was still trailing the unquestionably corrupt Menendez and the next day he called for Hastert to resign.

I called his office and told them he had just thrown the election to Menendez.

On here, I called him Country Club RINO trailer trash.
