ecause he says there is promising research being done on adult stem cells
from what I understand the adult stem cells research has proven more successful than embryonic lines

Fox tells viewers - quote - "Stem cell research offers hope to millions of Americans with diseases like diabetes, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. But George Bush and Michael Steele would put limits on the most promising stem cell research. That is also a lie. Why should the govt. be in the business to harvest potential human life, when they can privately do it, and also Mr. Fox the most promising treatment is in Adult stem cells, but for some reason you leave that out in your politically cynical commercials.

It is very sad that the Democrats are that desperate to exploit a good man like Mike Fox. We all liked him in the 1980's and feel sorry for his illness.
Tammy Duckworth, watching her campaign starting to take water, has Fox in Suburban Chicago today trying to raise $$$$.
What this shows is that McKaskill and Duckworth campaigns see GOTV on the horizon and are desperate for anything.
To: brwnsuga
because he says there is promising research being done on adult stem cells You mean Mr. Steele and not Michael J. Fox. Michael J. Fox leaves that fact out in his politically cynical commercials.

It is very sad that the Democrats are that desperate to exploit a good man like Mike Fox. IMO, he is exploiting himself and also calls himself an American, while he holds dual American/Canadian citizenship.

It's sad to see Michael "jerk off" Fox's disease severely impact his common sense and rational thinking. The fact that he thinks that federal funding of ESCR is going to be the deciding factor in finding a cure for HIS disease so HE CAN GET BETTER and star in the FAMILY TIES REUNION and more episodes of BOSTON LEGAL is quite ignorant and highly partisan on his part. He completely ignores all the other research going on. He lives in a vacuum. I lost total respect and sympathy for him now.

I hope in every commercial where Michael J. Fox shows up to campaign for a candidate that the candidate he shills for LOSES AND LOSES BIG! I'm tired of these Hollywood types trying to manipulate the American people into their leftist agenda.

MJ Fox claims dual citizenship, he does not harrass the Canadian Heathcare for their spending or for his treatment.
Also supposedly, he stop taking his meds so he would look more pathetic.
Also he lies about the fact that PRIVATE spending is not prohibited on embryonic stem cells.

actually this makes him a non-existent actor in my book.
This just exposes his own self interest and delusion.
He did not take his meds to be more pathetic in this commercial.

He's campaigning for Claire McCaskill in Missouri, too. An amendment to the state Constitution goes before the voters on the 7th protecting stem cell research. It has a lot of support and should pass handily, and may cost Talent some votes since he's come out against it.
To: Dane
The pubbies have to address this right away. They can put out commercials specifying all of the support for adult stem cell research and specify Bush's spending on research. I'm afraid that Mr. Fox's appearances will make an impact. The pubbies can mitigate the impact if they address it very soon.

It is very sad that the Democrats are that desperate to exploit a good man like Mike Fox. We all liked him in the 1980's and feel sorry for his illness. It's hard to see how anyone is exploiting Fox since he's supporting the cause being advertised. He knows what he's doing and the impact it has.
To: Non-Sequitur
That may be, but if the amendment is "passing" so handidly, why mjf's involvement.
He p!ssing off half his fan base with his partisanship.

People are dumb enough to think GWB is the root of all evil, so I'm not surprised a lot of them think he wants people to stay sick too.

According to those who have seen it, he IS off his meds for the commercial.
Apparently he admits to not taking his meds any time he has to put on a show for Parkinson's research.

He p!ssing off half his fan base with his partisanship. According to polls I've seen in Missouri he's only pissing off about a third.
To: Non-Sequitur
It's hard to see how anyone is exploiting Fox since he's supporting the cause being advertised And in typical cynical and manipulative hollywood fashion is not taking his meds.
If he is so confident about his cause, how come he doesn't do tv and movie roles without his medication.
Can anybody say hypocrisy.
