I know I can't listen to his show. He's so negative and pessimistic he drags you down with him. It's hard to believe there are so many people who can listen to him for more than 15 minutes.

I disagree. Savage is definitely a social conservative, though a more flexible social conservative than some.

I'd call Savage most definitely a conservative with a few quirks and a few screws flying out every now and then. But again and again, he's right. He calls the media out like clockwork, and a number of phrases that have begun to take hold in the political landscape I heard first on his show (Islamofascist, for instance).

Savage is stone cold nuts. He's like a reverse Michael Moore, but not quite as funny. At least Michael Moore is really fat in a funny sorta way.

I hate to break it to you kids, but talk radio hosts are there to sell adjustable beds and Ruth's Chris steaks. Half these guys are just hacks riding the Limbaugh formula.

Too true. Savage takes the Limbaugh formula, and removes reason, logic and humor.

I like Savage. He humors me. When he annoys me, I switch to another channel, and switch back after he's over his rant. But he has a very novel approach on radio, which is unlike any other. He is conservative on most issues, but is not a Bushbot as he considers Bush to not be a conservative. And he thinks Rush is a shill for Bush. Savage is a great storyteller, and that I believe, is his strongest suit. He can spin a wonderful story out of everyday life events. Plus he has a great bead on our illegal immigration problems. I wonder why certain Freepers have to constantly post anti-Savage threads. What are you getting out of it by doing so? They pop up so frequently that it borders on pathological.

Savage is no conservative. He is the leader of the "Cut and Run" Republicans. Savage has always been a tool to humiliate and divide the conservatives.. he appeals to some who are frustrated and they love his tirades.. but he spouts disinformation continuously.

Last night, I stumbled across his crap for just a few moments and he was stating as a fact that Republicans never say the Pledge of Allegiance or stand in front of the Flag anymore.. and gosh is that hogwash. But he states it like fact and tells conservative to stay home.. because both parties are "corrupt." The guy is a loon and an idiot.

In the past, Savage had a glimmer of hope but that has faded. He is just an embarrassment now.

Savage is an idiot. He has a pearl here and there but cancels it out 4 minutes later. There are so many more worthwhile programs out there. Salem Radio isn't available in every market.. but you can get their offerings on the internet.

Agree with everything you've said.

I can snooze to Limbaugh, who has a great gift of gab. Savage relies on "eclecticism" (something I know a lot about) for increasing his ratings—and for which he is always on the hunt.

Nice try at changing the subject. His monetary support of Jerry Brown, who isn't close to being the type of leader he would ever praise on his show or his books, has nothing to do with George W. Bush and you know it. If this wasn't a shock to conservatives, it wouldn't be news. Savage didn't announce this on his show, it was dragged into the open by a reporter from a leftist newspaper.
