Inanely? What should US policy be? If I recall correctly this administration turned it back on Arafat and has not held out a hand to Hamas. Could it be that is who the Secretary of State is speaking about?

In her remarks, Rice confessed, “I believe that there could be no greater legacy for America than to help bring into being a Palestinian state for a people who” suffer the “daily humiliation.” of living under the so-called Israeli occupation. It has become quite clear that Condi has been invaded by the body snatchers.
It is a d@mned shame to see a potentially great career take such an irreparable nosedive.

According to that twerp in Iran, we the US and the EUROS are to pay a price for supporting Israel. Sec. of State is letting him know that what goes for life for the majority of the Palestinians is not acceptable.
IF we the US are to be leaders we at least have to give the appearance that we are NOT ignoring the plight of the majority of Palestinians, and I see their leadership and people like Saddam who sent the families $25,000 when their offspring murdered innocent people are the WHO Dr. Rice is referencing. Also not to be ignored is how much help Iran has been to continue the violence and terrorism.
Don't you know that President Bush is responsible for more terrorists becoming terrorists? (sarcasm)

Condoleeza Rice and company are employing the same tactics that the Roman Empire did against the Jews. Its emperors encouraged and empowered the Edomites and one Edomite in particular to subdue the Jews and bring them into submission to Rome. The EU is hoping that their support of the Palestinians will do the same in these days. Time to wake up.

The solution is for the Palestinian government to recognize Israel's right to exist, to stop inciting violence in school textbooks and media, for the Palestinians to stop overwhelmingly approving the suiside bombings of Israeli civilians, stopping raising their kids as potential shahids, stop the terrorism and then it would be possible to talk of a Palestinian state. There are some preconditions, you know.

Exactly! Bush shares her views of the poor oppresed Palestinians and the "evil" Israli occupiers.
I watched a left wing cable show the other night, telling about a wealthy Iranian family in Colorado that were big Bush contributors. It was sickening the way Bush sucked up to them for campaign contributions.
