The letter is not particularly intimidating. Besides, the only Republicans who want this Asian American out of the race are European and Mexican immigrants ~ I say Herr Schwarzenegger and his RINO thuggee followers should just back off.

I hope he Nguyens! :)
In AP's world, only the 'Rats are popular.
I'd hope that illegals would be jailed and deported for voting in an election. Sounds like Sanchez campaign isn't doing so hot to pull this out of their butt.
Seems to me that turnabout is fair play. Loretta got elected with a LOT of help from illegals who were sent a letter by slick willie telling them to bring the letter to the polls when they went to vote.......wink wink wink.
The letters weren't sent to illegal immigrants. They were sent to US citizens, registered to vote, who had Hispanic surnames. That's kind of embarrassing.
Well, I'm not voting for him! I can't. I live in Texas and I'm not a democrat.
groan...
I agree that the letter isn't intimidating. However, the backlash isn't coming from the Governor's office. The majority of those most opposed it aren't even Republicans. I'm not talking about the CRP here either. I disagree with their request that he remove himself, but like you, I don't know the fullness of the findings. Also, I'm not a professional in this arena, just a volunteer/supporter. Your disparagement of the Governor and his supporters is inaccurate, and uncalled for. I, obviouly, support the Governor (although not on everything), and am far from a RINO and "thuggee". Nor am I a blind supporter. It is just that we clearly see the opposition as completely destructive.
There's a list of US citizens? Source,please.
They have no way of knowing if the person is a legit or not. They could be fraudulent.
Uh, he's a Republican. I'd vote for him were I in his district. With what I know, I don't think that he did anything wrong. And you don't know about Loretta Sanchez who is the illegals favorite since that was how she got elected. Funny how she didn't get any jail time for it....
It is alleged that the letters were sent exclusively to newly registered voters who had Hispanic surnames.
The citizenship of these new voters has not yet been determined and that prompted the letter. In previous elections in that district, significant illegal voting by aliens had been documented.
Did he retract his criticism? How about his running dog lackeys in the Republican party machinery in Orange county? Did they retract what they said?
Yep. In 1994 the assassin of a Mexican presidential candidate was discovered to have been registered to vote twice in Los Angeles County.
From the Orange County Register:
"The letter also said a new federal computer system could verify the names of newly registered voters and that anti-immigration groups could access the information. Magnuson said there is no such system and no plans for one.
The mailer carried the letterhead of the Huntington Beach-based California Coalition for Immigration Reform. CCIR founder Barbara Coe condemned the letter and said her group had no part in it."
I can tell you as someone who's knocked on plenty of doors that parties can get a list of registered voters, their addresses, and their declared affiliations.
Ok, lets see. A Republican candidate informs people who are here illegally that it is a crime for them to vote in an election in the country where they illegally reside. Wow, what balls he has! Ok sorry. But gezz! Why the heck is the GOP getting on his case for trying to do something about election fraud for a change?
