Just another banner trying to get something banned. And no, there weren't any pictures of Bo Derek in the email.

She oversees a 130-acre ranch in Santa Ynez, Calif., that was once home to more than 30 horses. She now has six.
So, where did her other 24 horses go?
The news had a story on locally back in September (when the house was voting) who had sold her horses because she could no longer care for them. The horses were bought by the slaughter house and she wanted them back.
If she didn't want them slaughtered, she could have been more selective in how they were sold. She sold them at auction, the highest bidder was the slaughterhouse. They aren't hers any longer and she shouldn't have any control over what happens next, as the horses belong to someone else.

It is less about people starving than horses starving.
Who will care for the hundreds of thousands of horses that are unwanted for the rest of their three decades of life???
Time after time the people who "rescue" horses only leave them to starve after a few years when the project gets too expensive. Far better to let the horses serve a useful purpose - - as food for humans or pets.
