The LA Times and Tom McClintock BOTH endorse Arnold for Governor.

I see the only one they are in favor of so far is Prop 86. Ptui! Not only do I feel persecuted, I feel downright disenfranchised!
I'll be lighting one up when I vote against Prop 86. ;^)
I'm sure they will add Prop 1BCD&E before they are done. And of course, there are a couple more liberals to add to their list of candidates (Chiang and Bowen probably although, they might throw in McPherson as another token Rino).

What I Will Do As Lieutenant Governor of California

The Lieutenant Governor is a Member of the State Lands Commission and a UC Regent. I will use these positions to advance the environmental research agenda at the University and leverage the role of the Lands Commission to protect the California coast, rivers, lakes and state land. In both roles, I will be motivated by the central challenge of our time—reversing global warming and climate change. To that end, I will propose policies and incentives to reduce green house gasses and to address the inevitable environmental changes already underway. . . .
We must be international. California’s economic future is tied to the world. International trade in goods, services, and finance is the mainstay of our businesses and our jobs. Fortunately, California is blessed with diversity and the largest population of ethnic people outside of their native lands. This human resource needs to be valued. If we prepare California citizens and businesses, we can become the economic dynamo of the 21st Century. The Office of the Lt. Governor has a long history of promoting international trade and working on foreign relations especially with Mexico. I will augment and continue that tradition by seeking to develop favorable economic, education, and cultural relations with Mexico and other countries, especially Asia.
We must be healthy. I believe that our current health care system is in a death spiral and it is headed for a complete breakdown. Instead of bringing health care services to more people, we are pricing more people out. The health care system and the current health insurance system is inefficient and in many ways ineffective. We spend 15.6% of our total GDP on health care yet we are sicker and do not live as long as our counterparts in Europe and Asia who spend less that 10% of their GDP on health care. As Lt. Governor, I will work toward every Californian having universal access to affordable health care.
They endorsed Arnold just to get themselves a little bit of credibility.
I'm amazed that McClintock was criticized for his views on same-sex marriage. The LA Times is still a liberal rag.
lol.. Tom has my vote, not to worry, regardless who the LA Times endorse this year.
I'm writing in Maria or Ben Stein for Gub, she deserves to get credit for already running things from behind the scenes, a 'liberated' woman, Ben deserves a shot too, heck if MoonBeam can recycle into state office, as AG much less. welll... ;-)
L.A. Daily news has a different, more sane endorsement list.
Proof that the LA Times will reflexively endorse any liberal, no matter how stupid or ineffective, and will avoid endorsing any conservative at all costs.
I'd vote for Ben Stein in a heartbeat. :-)

McClintock actually has the same position on same-sex marriage as the majority of Californians. How is he out-of-step?
