This is an old article, but it's still relevant. It helps explain why this regeime didn't implode ages ago.

There was the same rigmarole around Saddam, how there were movies of him being shot at and bullets 'passing right through him' because of a magic stone he always wore around his neck.
The germ theory of illness is not widely accepted in Iraq. I can't imagine North Korea even being close to on par with that.

Still, Iraq was never geographically or psychically isolated like North Korea is, with its mountainous terrain and total absense of news from the outside.

So....it's not America who's responsible for Global Warming. The Korean nation was founded by two thirds of the evil Manbearpig triad.

Mind boggling. I've heard stories from people who lived in the Soviet Union in the 70s, 80s and after a trip to NK concluded they were living in paradise.

It might be an old article, but it's still funny.

And since the little potbellied, mutant, bad hair day, dog eating chia pet is the only one with internet access in that hell hole, I offer this: eat sh1t and die "dear leader."

In the countries with NK embassies these embassies put out such garbage in the form of glossy magazines in the local languages. In the places like former USSR with their own history of personality cult, these made for great comical reading.

"Forget military options; this is Waco on a nuclear scale. And the tragedy for North Koreans is that even if they no longer believed in Kim, they would still be forced to share his fate."

Waco? Well now, that's different. Elect Hillary, and she'll reappoint Janet Reno and they'll fix L'il Kim's little ass pronto!

Kim is no danger compared to Saddam and Al-Queda, He allowed bases in his country and funding and weapons. And was shipping terror arround the world -- he had the same nuclear goals and was working with biological stuff as well.

When have you read of the North Koreans setting up "Kim" temples around the world and training radical "Kimites" in the EU and around the world?

Kim Jong-il is a leader of genius, but also a great soldier, a peerless film maker, movie critic, philosopher, scientist, miracle worker and holy man.

Not to mention his being the worlds greatist golfer!!!
Just look it up, type in Kim Jong-il+golf on google
and see.

"Not only are they meant to believe that Kim Jong-il is a leader of genius, but also a great soldier, a peerless film maker, movie critic, philosopher, scientist, miracle worker and holy man."

They left out the part about Kim playing 18 holes of golf and scoring 18 holes-in-one. That's right, he even holed out his tee shot on the par-fives.

One big difference is that we intercepted missile bound for Yemen from Kim and we suspect that he helped Pakistan get nuclear technology. Saddam didn't even pull that off. You are right though that he isn't the type would can expand himself beyond his own borders like Saddam had the ability to do via other islamofascist groups.

Hillary would have to go back and do what she and her bubba husband did before - appease, appease and appease. They did nothing before and they'll do nothing different now - except that they will claim that during the 8 years of Bush NK managed to wholly create, develop and test a nuclear military program which was successfully supressed during the magical Clinton years.

Kim Il Sung/Kim Jong il's Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea has long been a greater regional and worldwide threat, in my estimate, than that of Saddam Hussein Ba'athist Iraq.

I am not aware of any articles of Kim sharing nuclear tech with Pakistan but I am aware of a slew of articles about Packstans's father of nuclear tech -- packs program predating kims and packistand sharing the technology with others -- all of this has been on dozens and dozens of articles posted on FR since 9-11. So I can't quite go with what you say.

Also Saddam had missles too, and would have had all his New" medium/long range ones deployed before kim did his funky test last year.
