Rock Hudson was a "real" gay man, I think this poor guy just couldn't attract a living female.

Studds, a liberal Democrat who spent more than 20 years in Congress, was censured by the House in the 1980s for having sex with a 17-year-old male page.
...AFTER getting the 17-year old page drunk AND for making unwanted sexual advances two TWO other underage male pages after getting them drunk, too.
The media should tell the FULL Studds story without whitewashing it. It wasn't even "just about sex".

I knew I wouldn't be the first to point out that unfortunate title.

A reminder of the disgusting double standard.

Studds fell unconscious Oct. 3 because of what doctors later determined was a blood clot in his lung, Dean Hara said.
Studds regained consciousness, remained in the hospital, and seemed to be improving. He was scheduled to be transferred to a rehabilitation center, but his condition deteriorated Friday and he died at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Hara said.
Hara, who married Studds shortly after gay marriage was legalized in Massachusetts in 2004, said Studds was a pioneer who gave courage to gay people everywhere by winning re-election after publicly acknowledging his homosexuality.
"He gave people of his generation, or my generation, of future generations, the courage to do whatever they wanted to do," said Harra, 49.

Was it AIDS one wonders? Will they ever reveal that if it was the cause of his death?

The biased mainstream media should begin printing/stating the sexual orientation of everyone from this day forward that passes away.

While this is not cause for gloating, it's ironic that he died while the Mark Foley scandal was still on the airwaves.

Another Democrat, former Boston City Councillor David Scondras, was involved in an underage sex scandal (for at least the second time) this month.
Studds was a teacher at St. Paul's School from 1965 to 1969. He wasn't there when John Kerry was a student. But one does have to wonder if there wasn't some scandal there as well.
East Coast voters do have a greater tolerance for sexual scandals. What's striking is that Cape Cod, which was a large part of Studds's district, had been rural, moralistic, and Republican almost forever. Studds's election and his district's turning a blind eye to his conduct marked a sea change in the region's history.
