Yup, he's screwed.
Upon first reading the headline, I thought, well, that's the spoils of war. If he had captured Taliban weapons, I wouldn't mind him keeping them. However.....
He had a $hitload of governement ammo... In other words, he stole from the governement, meaning you and me. No excuse. And UCMJ offensible.
To: Alas Babylon!
Well, his experimentation on how to hide, and how much could fit there, would be legit IF done with the authorization of his higher-ups in his air security line of work, for he himself is not senior enough. Seems like he forgot to get the OKs.

If he had captured Taliban weapons, I wouldn't mind him keeping them Dude - he was trying to bring back 33 pounds of C-4! Only America makes C-4.

When they outlaw machine guns, RPGs, det cord, silencers, and grenades, only outlaws will have machine guns, RPGs, det cord, silencers, and grenades......

It wouldn't surprise me if a *lot* of military guys, especially SF, had "caches" of high-end weapons and explosives.
Nothing says "be prepared" like having an RPG in your basement.

How in the heck did this clown ever make SFC? I know many SF live on the edge at times, but you would think he would known better than this.

Former 1st Ranger Batt. here. You would not believe the stuff that used to come out of the ceilings in the barracks in health and welfare inspections. You know, C-4, det cord, weapons, etc.
