Why is this a problem? I thought that the Christian Right was the the GOP's main constiuent group

Could it be that the interloper had Hastert speaking in tongues?

Guess it's all one's perspective. When I hear or read "Plano," I never think of Texas.

If this clown was banging at your door at 7:30 AM would you let him in?

Being into micro management as I am, possibly not.

Don't know that he qualifies as an interloper. He was invited in. Not to get into micro managing or anything.

"I'm going to Somonauk for a Plano Sandwich."

...served by Chief Shabbona. Somehow I think only us locals would understand this (I'm in Rochelle).

Some people see everything as a scandal.

Hey if you are so concerned, you can also try to talk to Hastert.

Get yourself a bus ticket, and show up. I wouldn't consider you a threat, but with your animus, I wouldn't doubt you would rhetorically tear his head off, with your all knowing, "true conservative", hubris.

Who deemed this incident a scandal?

"Paul told the Sun-Times he prefers the title "world's most popular" minister.""

The Scripture has this to say about that: "Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets." Luke 6:26

Isn't it great to see folks disagree without being disagreeable?

You said -- "Headline: Hastert refuses to meet with brown skinned Evangelist."

He could have hidden in his closet and pretended he wasn't at home...

Who deemed

Usually scandals aren't "deemed" as such.

However, when an ordinate number of people are attracted by a negative story I supposed it is considered a scandal (again no one usually "deems" them).

In this case, this story is attracting an inordinate amount of attention. But in this case the attention is not deserved. It is a non story, intended to milk the previous Foley scandal.

And in such a case as this people on FR are sometimes sucked into the media's "scandal-mongering".

".....Isn't it great to see folks disagree without being disagreeable?......"

Actually, I've come to expect this from some of the members of FR as it has attracted quite a few 'unique' and 'opinionated' members in the last few years.
