Leftists are nothing if not chock full of logical disconnects. There are the only group I know of that will chase a conservative speaker off of a stage (because they disagree with his positions) and then claim they are in favor of and simply exercising "free speech". They are the only people I know of who will slaughter unborn children in the womb and then say they are defending "choice" (and just what choice does the unborn child have?). Then, to add insult to injury, they will never, ever grasp even a shred of the irony of their actions.

They'll get the dreaded double-secret probation.
And a whack on the pee-pee. A gentle whack.
How about arresting the perp's? - and firing "security"?
(That'll happen right after they make Pluto a planet again...)

I'd say so. Here's the money quote from that statement (emphasis mine);
Our regulations are intended to help event organizers, participants and protestors maintain a safe environment for members of the University community and their guests to engage in meaningful and sometimes contentious debate across the spectrum of academic and political issues.
Translation - the College Republicans and the Minutemen "violated University regulations" and will be punished.
I encourage all Freepers to email or call Columbia and demand that the students involved be expelled!
That's why Columbia "security" just stood by and watched this happen.
Thank you for posting these.
Time to use 'em.
The RNC should use the footage to run a TV ad: "This is what Congress will look like if the Dems take over..."
Free Speech on Campus is Everyone's Right and Responsibility.
The University deplores the disruption that took place last night at the "Minutemen Forum" sponsored by the Columbia College Republicans at Alfred Lerner Hall.
A monkey's uncle response - and I don't mean macaca.
If a group of conservatives did the same thing, they would have IMMEDIATELY called in the police to arrest them and pressed charges.
But in the case of illegal invaders, such a response could NEVER have come from such a left-wing bastion of "education".
Whew! I just got keyboard fingers typing different subject lines to go with my e-mails to all the above addresses.
The disgraceful Columbia riot again demonstrates that liberals are afraid of another opinion being expressed because their own is so shaky and devoid of substantive facts etc., that they must prevent the words from even being uttered (heresy), as it puts their carefully crafted in serious jeopardy, potentially swaying their base of non critical thinkers away from them.
That is why you don't see analogous behavior from conservatives: we are confident that our arguments can stand legitimate and logical scrutiny, whereas the liberal arguments apparently cannot.
This is not to say that liberals in college are not simply childlike, slackjawed drones of their liberal professors that lash out in blind rage when their beliefs are questioned (where have we seen that behavior before?).
Like the arguments against the public display of the ten commandments, are the arguments of the Minutemen and other conservative so persuasive, that simply reading or expressing them will cause a complete conversion?
Why else would they be so afraid of them?
