thanks for the ping. Yes, this young man seemed just a little too eager to insert himself into the limelight, I think that's what put me off.

Just happened to catch another FOX segment on him, during John Gibson, showing him reading the newspaper, sitting on his front porch as Douglas Kennedy provides the narrative.

A.B.Stoddard of The Hill tells Chris Matthews, if she knew about Foley, and she did, then Dennis Hastart should have known too. She says, "foley was a really nice guy who spent a lot of time with the pages. "

This is about cutting off the head of the Republican leadership as preemptive strike for election 2006.

Of Course it is. That's why I am so amazed at how so few people here aren't examining the mechanics of this attack. right now we are being fed tibbits of info and are being lead to a conclusion that those with the tibbits want us to reach, what the Main Stream Media has done to us for years. We should stop and examine the who the why and the how for ourselves first.

I'm beginning to think this was orchestrated by the page that claimed to be warned about Foley in the first place.

Another thread this am said that a page and family had given this info to a FL newspaper last year but asked them not to use it.

If I have these facts wrong, I'm sorry but if true, WHY would they give the info to a newspaper in the first place?

Well the 'mechanics' of this attack is not about Foley's perversion it is about a supposed cover-up.

There is something there there cause Foley did not resign just cause he is a drinker.

What we don't know yet is who was with him in this page chatting spree and who had access to his computer to have this bit of 'intel' to hold over his head for all these years. If there is this much I have to believe there is a whole lot more.

I suspect that Foley's friends have turned out to not be all that friendly... Foley was the perfect trap and he could not help himself but jump right in the snare. I mean who was he hanging out with, I can pretty much bet what little I have it was not Hastert.

A college friend did that job one summer. He said they partied like hell, smoked dope at lunch and generally had a large time of themselves.

Possibly, but then it follows that once again republicans are going to be branded a bunch of homophobes for demanding that Foley resign for being gay especially when it is prove that this page wasn't a page at the time, wasn't underage and nothing happened between them.

I'd like to think that because Foley could not disprove the lie he resigned, and I can make a reasonable case that the lie can't be so easily disprove based upon the evidence as some here would suggest. We are talking here about paper copies of computer files that were three years old and part of a program that regularly deletes those files that reach a certain age or space limit. Way too easy to forge since the original source probably doesn't have them any more anyway.

Well I hope before Foley dries up the FBI will have a chance to debrief him to find out who all his friends have been.

One thing is for sure Foley did not see this coming and he was riding very high before somebody kicked the legs out from under his stool.

There is NO way Hastert knew these dirty details and did nothing.

After reading the bits posted here about the former New Jersey governor I have confidence in believing that Foley left tracks and he was not careful about covering them up.

Good question but I'm curious as to why even on FOX there has been no mention all day that RATS may be involved in a cover up. In fact, they may be more implicated than Republicans.
