There's also one other possible motive.
Think about the unwritten rule that former presidents don't meddle in policy or criticize their successors. Though Clinton has been less than scrupulous about that rule, I think he's just dying to get back in the thick of things and "save" his party again. He also needs to be freed up to do Hillary's political bidding.
In order to get back in the full political swing, he had to find a way to exempt himself from the rule. Now he'll claim the reaction to his outburst is the reason he has to get back in the game to defend his record.
I'm afraid we're headed back into "Full Clinton" all-the-time mode.
That's enough for me to have to take an antacid.
Hahaha, that would have been hilarious, especially if Wallace had pursued it further.
Mr. Clinton, why did you locate your office in Harlem, in such close proximity to the crack trade? Was your own brother misrepresenting when he said you were a "vacuum cleaner" around cocaine? Mr. Clinton, were you high on cocaine when you soiled that girl's blue dress? Sir, was that before or after you didn't inhale? Mr. Clinton, can you tell us again what toppings were on that pizza you had on the night you soiled that blue dress? Was that before or after your law license was suspended for repeatedly lying under oath to a federal judge? By the way, how much money did you finally pay to settle that sexual harassment suit against you?
LOL
This latest disgrace reminds me of some cheap made for TV sporting event. Fox News and Bubba C?
Please, spare me.
I don't think so. It doesn't fit clinton's MO over the years. Clinton is a moral coward and avoids fights if he can, especially when he is not in total control. He went on Fox because he thought Wallace would be intimidated and suck up, like Russert and the rest of the kneepad reporterettes always do. He figured Wallace would ask marshmallow questions about his money-getting from rich guys. He miscalculated, Wallace hit a nerve, and Clinton blew it. Plain and simple. It's happened before, after all.
Clintoon is a control freak. He uses his temper as a weapon to control others through intimidation. If a question gets too close to the truth he throws a tantrum to take control, i.e., change the subject.
Compare this jerkoff, who can't even handle a single tough question, to GWB, who must EVERY DAY face a hostile press who accuse him of the most heinous crimes and failings, all based upon the lies of leftist mythology generators. If Clintoon had faced such a hostile press as POTUS, he wouldn't have lasted a week.
I think Bubba's problem right now is that he knows everyone can see what a failure he was as President, and what a small man he is compared to GWB. The contrast is striking.
The great "Clinton legacy" is crap and he knows it.
Mr Clinton accused FOX of a 'hit job' but did absolutely nothing to squash the interview? Mr Clinton accused Mr Wallace of smirking and trying to be more clever than King Bill? If Mr Wallace was an honest reporter and was accused that way, why would he not have said the the former president, "this interview is over Mr ex-president and I can promise you that it will not be aired"...
Mr Clinton knew before this interview that he was going to explode and Mr Wallace knew it too. Only problem for Mr Clinton is that it worked against him since he spewed lies that can easily be debunked and for Mr Wallace it was a bonanza. FNS will have the highest ratings for the next number of weeks........
I'm afraid we're headed back into "Full Clinton" all-the-time mode.
Suits me just fine. A couple years back, every democrat clinton campaigned for lost. I'd like nothing better than having the electorate reminded that the democrats are the party of blow jobs, perjury and impeached presidents. It's no coincidence that right after the clinton was gone, the Republicans swept the vote for Congress and the Presidency and even held their gains during the mid-term election. Most voters are sick and tired of hearing from Blow Job Bill.
Of course, it was all about him, and he's fired up both bases. He's also drawn a line between himself and every other Democrat, who will look bad compared to Bill Clinton. And that is what's important to him.
"Me, me me. But enough about me. Let's talk about you. What do you think of me?"
I think so too. He was definitely itching to attack what he calls the "right wing conspiracy", and Wallace was on the receiving end of his ugly tirade.
God forbid his wife get anywhere near the White House. If you ask me, they are dangerous people and I get nauseous just thinking about the possibility of them coming back... It's like a bad horror movie.
I don't...he was too fast-and-loose with too damned many verifiable prevarications. He had a plain ole blowout, and it was a thing of beauty to behold.
History will NOT smile nicely upon this schmuck, no matter how he and his apologists try to spin it.
"Facts Is Facts"...Clintoon edged ever closer to the spelling I just used. He'll be remembered as a caricature.
I'm not saying his anger was not real. I'm sure he really was angry, but I also think he was ready for it and in his attempt to really make a point, I think he ended up looking really bad, like the true bullying ___ that he is.
He even screwed up his grammar, to the point that the NYT and LAT would be all over that, had it been Bush.
To me, it's obvious he lost it a bit beyond where he thought he could control things.....and this is a good thing; it's on the record, archived, and yet another shovelfull of dirt on his legacy --- and the best part is that "the smart guy" did it to his ownself!
