The issue in 2008 will most likely be leadership and strength on the WOT. Social issues, of necessity, take a backseat role when the Republic is so much in danger.

There are only three contenders left for 2008: Rudy, Romney and McCain. Allen is finished. He'll be very lucky to keep his seat. Nomination for the Presidency is totally out of the question.

There is a world of difference between the WOT and the early attacks by Islamic terrorists. Pay attention.

>>>>Wherever he goes, Conservatives love Rudy.

Ridiculous! You're obviously a liberal who is infatuated with Giuliani. While you may love Rudy, conservatives out in mainstream America don't even know the real Giuliani. When they find out he is a hardcore liberal, conservatives will not support him.

This Conservative in NYC, and all her family and friends, Conservatives all, would support Rudy if he were the candidate.

Rudy even won the poll here on FR.

Actually, Cong Tom Tancredo, Sen George Allen and Newt Gingrich are the top choices among FReepers.

Free Republic Opinion Poll: If the 2008 Republican primary for president were held today and the following candidates were listed on your ballot, which one would you choose?

Member Opinion
Tom Tancredo 25.5% 689
George Allen 22.2% 602
Newt Gingrich 17.3% 469
Rudy Giuliani 12.0% 326
Jeb Bush 9.8% 266
Mike Pence 4.2% 115
Mitt Romney 3.3% 90
Sit it out 3.0% 80
John McCain 1.5% 41
Bill Frist 1.0% 28
99.8% 2,706

When the choices were limited to Mitt Romney, John McCain and Giuliani, Rudy comes out ahead. That ain't saying much.

Bottomline. Conservatives don't vote for liberals. If you're supporting Rudy for President, you're gonna be a mighty disappointed NYCity liberal come primary season.

We all knew Rudy was no conservative. After his defense of Clinton, ALL Republicans should be seriously questioning Giuliani's loyality to the GOP. Giuliani defending Bill Clinton on any issue is an outrage. Especially on the issue of Clinton's terrorist policy while he sat in the Oval Office. Clinton took no serious military action whatsoever in response to the attack on the US homeland in 1993. BillyBoy did nothing. Giuliani has further damaged his chances in the GOP primaries. IMO, looks like one liberal covering for another liberal.

Giuliani comes to Clinton's defense over terrorism preparedness

lol...who are "you guys?" My responses to your posts- were to your gun grabbing attitude, which well reflects Rudy G's opinion. Now, was I wrong to challenge your opinion?
