WAKE UP CALL...
There are Muslims and Islamofacists, however, there is no such thing as a "moderate Muslim." In crunch time, so called moderates must all adhere to the Koran, or they'll lose their heads too. Clearly, no matter how PC we would like to be, under no uncertain terms, we're at war with Islam, and all that follow that ideology must be closely watched.

God bless our American troops and the IDF.

I lived in Canada and drive often through Toronto and Montreal on business. Great cities, but politically there is alot of anti-Americanism, particularly in the media. There are very large Islamic communities as there are here near Detroit.

I lived in upstate NY for a while, and routinely visited Buffalo. I'm still not far, but not in NY. The border at Niagara/Niagra Falls and Buffalo is even quieter with a formerly less complicated crossing. Of course there are Islamic communities there, but they seemed quiet in comparison. Until the Lackawanna group was uncovered. And Niagara/Niagra Falls and Buffalo are easy drives across from Detroit/Windsor, or from Toronto. Interesting. Thanks, joanie. An interesting read. I wonder if that is why Bush seems 'stagnant' on immigration, I hope it's because he is working with the Mexican officials or our own officials to keep an eye on the situation.

One of the most under-looked at aspects of this is the Bosnia/Albania/Chechnia/Kazahkstan connection. There is a Muslim horde out there, each of whom (with a decent suit and a haircut) looks more or less like you and me. Then there's another horde of European-ized Syrians, Egyptians, Lebanese, etc. who come on like a cross between Ricardo Montalban and Charles Boyer. Look in any upscale restaurant in LA. Of course, there's the OTMs... unwashed hordes who look good in a sombrero. The jihadists seem to be on a 'Melting Pot' kick. Only we're the candidates for the meltdown. They'll stop by MacArthur Park in LA, pick up some mighty good looking paperwork, including damn nice passport work, and they're good to go.

Not a good time for sensitive, politically correct security measures.

Our southern border crisis is a deadly problem for a number of reasons, but, for reasons similar to what you have cited, we ignore our northern border at our peril.
