Nor was he demoted prior to 9-11 either as the former Liar in Chief claims. I love how Richard Clarke is some sort of God who if he was just given all power could have stopped Al Qaeda and 9-11. Well guess what, he was terrorism czar on 9-11 and yet we were still attacked. This guy is not some infallible guru. Indeed, the last 2 years have been spent by this man trying to burnish his reputation and to salve a guilty conscience by trying to make himself look like the grand hero of 9-11 who was so on top of everything and was the lone voice of reason in the entire US govt. warning about Bin Laden. Then when he was asked to work on cyber security, Clarke's persecution complex kicks in and he claims he was demoted, while yet he was kept on as terrorism czar. If only Bush had been better at firing these Clinton hold-overs like Clarke, Tenent, etc.
Not to mention, Clinton is one to talk about smirks. Is there ever a time he doesn't speak without that sh-t eating grin of his?
I don't even think Clinton was that angry during the Monica finger wagging. He was just coldly lying. No, this anger we saw in the Wallace interview was a culmination of Clinton being forced to face his failures as president and the results of being distracted for well over a year because of his having spent his time diddling the help at the White House rather than being focused on his job. Clinton's explosion reveals that he knows his guilt and that his inattention to office was a contributor to 9-11.
