If I may offer a brief fashion note?
I think, based on the style and fit of the dress, that she thought the "empire" waist would lift things up to an acceptable, even attractive, level. She was mistaken, as the photographic evidence shows.

I can hardly believe she went out in public dressed like that.She probably paid hundreds or even thousands for that bag she is wearing, which is probably a "designer original". Too bad she cheaped out and didn't opt for the bag that would cover her head too.
