Thanks for the ping. I will be checking the NY Times and the WaPo for their front page stories tomorrow documenting the fall in crime and increase in private gun ownership. Or then again, I can call my girlfriend...uh...Morgan Fairchild. Yeah...that's it...I'll call Morgan Fairchild.
Well, she had her day in the sun, but lately she's looking a little bit worn around the edges. Happens to the best of us, but if you're gonna spend a dime, I'd call on Kirsten Dunst instead. $:-)
Last time I saw a study it showed that 63% of the murder victims were those with criminal records
Most murders are low lifes bumping each other off
I'd have as much chance with her as the likelihood that the Times will report this. And my reference to Morgan Fairchild was to a running skit on Saturday Night Live many years ago where the Jon Lovitz character ("Pathological Liar") always said that his girlfriend was Morgan Fairchild.
I'm doing my part. I bought a 9mm at the Fort Lauderdale Gun 'n' Knife show today.
Go back to Massachusetts, go back to California, go back to Wisconsin, go back to New York, go back to Illinois, go back to the slums and ghettos of our northern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed. Let us not wallow in the valley of despair.
I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.
I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "A well regulated militia, being neccessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Washington D.C. the sons of freedom loving gun owners and the sons of fascist democrats will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream that one day even the state of New Jersey, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the caliber of their pistol but by the content of their bullseye.
I have a dream today."
I'm in NJ, and I sure envy my brother in law who lives in FLA. He has MANY more guns than he needs, but less than he wants. LOL!
Exactly right. And if the dead low life punk is under 24 he's counted by the antigun orgs as a child victim of gun violence.
Wherever he is now MLK should be proud to see his "Dream" speech modified like that, but since he was a Democrat and probably a gungrabber at heart I doubt that he is.
I live in NJ too. I was thinking of getting a gun. How hard is it to get a license? Is the first step calling the local police? Sorry for the questions, but I have no idea.
Go to your local police first and they will give you the paper work. It will take 6 weeks to 6 months to get the card. And NO CARRY ALLOWED. Good luck--and you should definitely do it.

Doesn't that statement give you a warm and fuzzy feeling?
;>)
Yes it does and I did my share in increasing the amount. >:-}
...me too.
Good for you!
There could be perilous times ahead!
