God Almighty. It looks like someone put a couple of water balloons in a pair of silk socks.

We had an almost snowless winter in Colorado in 1981. It was very tiresome. Skiing on rocks--tore the hell out of the ski bottoms.

The sad news is that tennis star Andre Agassi dated this woman in the early 1990's for some strange reason. What was he thinking? Certainly not about tennis or skiing in the off season, that's for sure!

Looks like a big snow year.
Forget the rock skis...lots of fresh, light powder this season.

"So the southern Rockies would be habitable year round ... Tell me again what the bad news is in global warming alarmist theories."
If you're talking about that area, there is bad news - the pine beetle that is normally killed off occasionally by cold winters is trashing forests there.

I don't think a little more skiing really makes up for that.

We usually only get in a couple of weeks/yr and try to get to a different area each day. I've been to Big Mountain quite a lot and the others at least once. There aren't too many areas outside of Quebec and Ontario that I haven't tried. But the remaining ones will have to wait for another year.
My goal this year would be to get it down to $3.50/day and get back into shape. ;-)

Check out the gas prices in Pitkin Co., CO!
www.gasbuddy.com --> US gas temperature map. Pick the red county just west of the center of the state.

Another liberal " politically correct " marketing strategy. Cancel your ski trip because it will never snow again, ever . Think that's dumb? Try this: In my town there's a van owned by a local business, withn the name prominently displayed on the side, driving around with a "Buck Fush" bumper sticker on the back window.
Why is that dumb? The business in question is a day care center.

If you're talking about that area, there is bad news - the pine beetle that is normally killed off occasionally by cold winters is trashing forests there. Pine beetle infestations come and go. Aspens will fill in if the climate really is getting warmer.
The climate fluctuates like the tide, and is just as beyond our control to seriously change.
