I remember that game because of the fieldhouse fire, though for the life of me I can't remember who won it. AU/LSU always seems to have something weird happen, like the Earthquake Game, The Interception Game, The Barn-Burner, and now a Baton Rouge sports columnist is calling it: The Crying Game... ;^)

At UNIVERSITY OF MASSACHUSETTS: 3,500: one to change the bulb, 300 to demand the bulb-changer be granted an engineering degree on the basis of "life experience;" 800 to riot and burn-down the engineering building when the honorary degree is not forthcoming; 200 to hold a special inquiry into racist and sexist university policies at the Statehouse; and the entire staffs at The Boston Globe and New York Times to keep the story alive for a year while demanding reparations because of university homophobic, sexist, racist, lookist, specist, warmongering, global warming Republican policies. LMAO!!!!

Actually, we're talking about "college" football and "student" athletes. I like to think those words mean something. (I was just trying to have some fun. Sorry.)
To: groanup
You're right, I forgot. In the North they graduate with degrees of such brilliance as gender "studies". LOL. You forgot diversity 101 and multiculturalism 102.

In San Antonio, in the early 70's, we'd have 21 stadiums around time - each of 15,000 - 18,000 capacity.
And every one filled.
Houston? Same.
Dallas? Same.
Fort Worth? Same ....

And don't forget the second-chance field goal game.

Years ago, they ran game trains from Okla. City to Norman for the OU games. Since I went to Okla. State my dad complained that our football team cost him more than my tuition.

There've been so many that I couldn't list them all, but this game has turned into the best rivalry in the SEC. Not even UT/UF or the Iron Bowl matches the intensity both sides are bringing to the LSU/Auburn game.

I thought about Alexandria, but settled on I-20 just so everybody south of that line wouldn't try and shoot me. Not too many folks north of that line instate, so if it makes 99% of Louisiana FReepers happy, I leave it there. ;^)

I see someone's never been to a Big Ten game. By the way, ESPN's Game Day Live is coming to Iowa City in a couple weeks for the Ohio State game. Go Hawks!

At SOUTH CAROLINA : it takes 80,000, one to screw it in and 79,999 to discuss how this finally will be the year that they have a decent football team.

Yes, 3-7 for your stellar running back, who, in the big house will become known as the Clarett Jug.
