"You never answered my direct questions,".."What makes you think that if these declarations happened, the apologists would suddenly all get in line and stop apologizing?"
Because people believe what they are told to believe. They believe that Islam is good be`cause the president tells them it is.
" Let's say today that those who believe as we do made these specific declarations--OK, how would that change ANYTHING--the way we fight, the opinions of the apologists, the Muslim threat?"
Instead of spending all our time defending Muslims we could be deporting them. Instead of believing a religion that treats it's women like slaves is good we could condemn it as being incompatible with the freedoms protected by our constitution. Instead of being surrounded by enemy we could sleep peacefully at night knowing they are thousands of miles away.
Is that direct enough for you?

"We are fighting the terrorists wherever they are..."
Not true, we enabled them in the Balkans and we let them roam free unimpeded, its not a question of military capability but rather political will. The general US polity is afraid to pull the trigger where need be and instead, we search for the most politically expedient approach.
Enough is enough, we're either in this to win or we're not, no half-assed measures, its that simple.

Not true, we enabled them in the Balkans and we let them roam free unimpededHow freakin silly. You're using events that occured years ago under another administration to try to disprove a statement I made about our CURRENT efforts.
I'm surprised you and the other literalists haven't pointed out that there's this one terrorist named Abdullah who hasn't got a personal Marine on his tail.

Uh no, our current administration has done nothing to reverse it nor has it been proactive in dealing with it, the ramifications with letting it fester are graver than you would imagine. So CURRENTLY there are no concerted efforts to stem terrorism in the Balkans.
The Balkan mess is complex and for you to simply blame it on the efforts of the previous administration is simple minded.

LOL You're hilarious. You made precisely the literalist error I pointed out.
For you to blithely pretend that after all our efforts in the Balkans--which, if you kinda sorta look up the facts, DID happen under another administration--that we can just start a new front there, you're proving to be just another armchair general who bitches about how the actual people doing the fighting aren't doing the job properly.
That you had to go to the Balkans to "prove" your point is hilarious--we have people in dozens of countries pursuing the terrorists. As I pointed out, you're a literalist who's peeved because not every terrorist has his own personal Marine after him. Thanks for continuing to make my point! LOL

A quick perusal of your posts shows you're a Balkans obsessive, which makes everything a lot clearer now. It's thrown off your thinking.

We are asked to love our enemies. But the Gospel is not a suicide pact. We have an obligation to preserve our lives and those of our families and friends. This means that we must expel the proponents of death and destruction from all civilized countries.

Good post. Just mouth the platitude "I support our troops" and everything will be all right.
But the real front is in Lodi, California, where an ice cream vendor sends his sons to jihadist training in Pakistan and gets away with it, it's in Oslo, Norway where the muzzies will soon outnumber native population, in U.S. prisons where taxpayers fund muzzie "chaplains" to convert the worst vermin to Islam, and in Washington where "good men" rubber stamp immigration papers for the next thousands of primitive, barbaric muzzies. Hey, until they blow themselves up they're all "moderate Muslims", doncha know. Yeah, and I support the troops!

There is something wrong that we are succeeding the fight against these ragheads just as you say, (I called them ragheads) and I agree with you. However, then why are we linked up with them in the Balkans and helping them cleanse out Serb Christians from their own land? This is what we are talking about. I had many U.S. Army Officers in my five years living there in Kosovo, to visit my office in private complaining and disillusioned about our policy of letting the Albanian terrorist go.
"Has the UN Let a Blacklisted Islamic Charity Roam Free in Kosovo?"
http://www.kosovo.net/news/archive/2005/October_07/4.html by Christopher Deliso
The U.S. Officers that were pissed off about our policy from Monteith and Bondsteel did not like our screwed up policy and counted the days that the 6 month rotation was finished. We allowed the murder of Serbs, Roma and other Albanians since 1999. We being the international powers that be....from UN, KFOR and our policies as well. I saw on more than one Embassy party Xhavit Haliti, Ceku, Ramush H. and even Thaci invited to the parties, celebrations..etc....they are Mafia and former KLA leaders who were responsible for the murder of hundreds of Serbs during the KLA days in the same, exact same manner that the Serb war criminals are also accused of....these are the cold hard facts......
