Where'd he get "Muffy" from? Her name is Kerry Healey.
She has a muffy problem
He insults her by calling her Muffy. She is amrried to a millionaire so Howie feels justified. HUMPH. I don't like it. She is as smart as they come and seems to have a good sense of what the state needs.
we gotta call Howie and tell him to cool it with the "muffy" business....
So, finally, it's an election even a Masshole should be able to understand. But Howie's questions are well taken because even outside of Massachusetts, the Republicans are having a hard time dealing with blinding glimpses of the obvious and turning it to their advantage.
The Democrats are hoist on their own petards, but I am not super confident the Republican message is out there strong enough to pull this out...
'Republicans are having a hard time dealing with blinding glimpses of the obvious'
haha!
as long as the Dems keep shooting themselves in the foot ,and the Iranian nutcase rants and the AQ crowd threatens, we 'might' just squeak this one out nationally.....
From your lips to Allah's ear?
As much as I like Howie Carr, I don't like the way he has always dissed her. I will hold him partially responsible if we end up with a Democratic governor.
I enjoy listening to Howie's show over teh Intarweb, but all this talk of MA politix makes my eyes glaze over.
same here...and I wonder if Christy Mihos could also be to blame. I could take either Kerry or Christy as gov., but the presence of both in the final election means that the moonbats could ultimately get back in.
To quote Howie himself, "I'm not voting for anyone who
wants to screw...ME!" But Howie, if we wind up with
Gov. Patrick...sure, make 100 per cent of the pols
Dems. Moving vans on the way...
Kind of putting her down as a preppie, and someone who--like the other Kerry--made her money the old fashioned way...she marries it. Howie says that Healey was originally a Catholic but became Episcopalian because she's a social climber.
At the annual St. Patrick's Day breakfast, Healey brought up something like a basketball with a stick of dynamite in it
(prop), referring to Kevin "two" Weeks saying that he and
Whitey Bulger "wanted to fill a basketball with C4" and
roll it in Howie's driveway. Referring to Howie's use of
the nickname, Kerry laughed, "That should get rid of
my 'Muffy' problem..."...now a popular sound cut on the show.
Why does the GOP even bother with MASSACHUSSETTS?
If Patrick wins the General Mass will have:
Democratic Governor
2 Liberal US Senators
10 Liberal US Reps
Veto Proof DEM Legislature
Unless White Working class Boston DEMS vote racial lines against Patrick, this state will be a disaster.
We hear so many people complain about Ted K--would Chase be able to squeak by him? Obviously Ted has the money advantage and the moonbats but if enough people are sick and tired of
Ted--including the huge number of independents...
though sadly I think the only way Ted leaves is when the ticker (or liver
or kidneys) finally gives out...Does he plan to stay till
he's 99?
New nickname for Healey from Howie Carr's board operator
"Happy":
MUFFY THE MOONBAT SLAYER!
Let's hope so
Howie used his voice and pushed for Gabrielli. The voters turn in Duval. They turned on Howie. Perhaps if Howie chants Howee for Muffy, the voters again won't listen and choose Duval instead.
She's a shill for the rich. The rich are just setting things up so most of the money in the economy flows into their coffers. The difference between getting screwed by the rich and the poor, is that it feels like rape when the Democrats get through with you. With the Republicans, it's just clinical.
I agree. It reeks of class envy, and it's not like the Good Captain is slumming it in sWellesley himself . . .But let's face it: the only compelling reason there is to vote for Kerry-Healey is that she has an (R) after her name, and would serve as some sort of stop-gap against a one-party state. While that alone is enough for people who might understand politics a bit, it's not enough for people who only "care" about politics every four years (or even less).
The Globe is going to fawn all over Deval Patrick like there's no tomorrow. The left is going to be energized like never before, because for once, their candidate is a Beacon Hill "outsider." If I were a betting man, I'd wager the pubbies are going to lose the corner office for the first time in 17 years.
Huh? We already have a veto-proof Dem legislature. With Deval Patrick, there likely wouldn't be any vetoes to worry about.
