There is a program called adopted-a-soldier, by which we the people can get into e-mail and snailmail exchanges with individual soldiers serving 'over there'. Sometimes they need minor items, to ease their situation, like new socks, or T-shirts, or boots. But sending things other than praise and admiration and heartfelt thanks is by no means required with adopt-a-soldier. I reccommend everyone who loves and stands in awe of our courageous soldiers and sailors to join the adopt-a-soldier program and get involved directly with support in that way. I believe their is a link at Rush's website, or ask and I'll get the addy to use for volunteering to adopt a soldier.
Applause applause!
Hey Albion-
Thank YOU, honey!
It was such a great FReep.
I am still floating!
Hope to be back soon. Told trooprally that Olney would definitely be on my next FReep schedule and I hope it's soon.
You guys are so awesome.
God Bless all DC FReepers.
Cheers (and kisses)-
Dinah
I wish I could be there with you all. It's so uplifting to see this thread and all that happens at WR.
