I hope for the best for her.

I assume she is an utter, utter leftist - but I enjoy her music quite a bit. Very dark and atmospheric.
Hope she heals up nicely.

has since found a new audience as a sophisticated chanteuse. My french is sufficiently bad that I have no clue what this means.

"The morning sun touched lightly on
the eyes of Lucy Jordan ..."Great song, great album. Also, Working Class Hero is better than Lennon's version, IMHO. Then there is that one song ... Mick sure did a hurtin' dance on her to bring out such angst! Did you ever hear her sweet voice in her first album? Such a difference.

I wish her well. Broken English is one of my favorite albums--big influence in my "formative years".

I heard this this morning. Hopefully the got it early and she'll have a full recovery. I saw her perform a couple years ago - she was amazing.

It means she is a female singer. We knew that even before they dropped the French word on us.

Ah, but if they dropped the French word on New Jersey, would she be known as a "shan-TOOZ" or a "chan-TOYSE?

I'll check with Cyndi. If she doesn't know, maybe Bruce would know.

I love that song, too, it's pretty and evocative; of course, I was in my forties before I saw Paris and never rode through it in a sports car (only a broken down taxi)...so I don't really understand what Lucy's problem was.
