And maybe we also killed a lot of Germans in WWII.
"Attempted murder [by alleged pro-lifers]: 17".
Very, very interesting. Not to mention a very, very low figure considering the violence and smack in the face to justice of abortion itself. Only 17 attempted murders (presumably over 30 years) in response to 50,000,000 actual ones. Even 1,700 would be quite low under present circumstances. I'm glad it's only 17 and hope there are no more.
What was missing from the film: successful murders in U.S. and Canada: over 50,000,000. And the hapless victims still await justice... I'm really not sure, when ALL human beings are finally valued and protected, what term of national mourning would be appropriate given the surrealistic scale of this holocaust.
What will remain is this: as long as pro-choicers continue to pretend abortion is "no big deal", that there is no holocaust, that the baby magicially "poofs" into personhood at the moment the cord is cut AND AT THE SAME TIME refuse to educate themselves about its cold, objective, emperical, scientific reality, they have zip-zero-nada credibility. They are living in a fantasy world divorced from a reality verifiable under the scientific method.
Any figures in the hundreds or even thousands are to be taken with a grain of salt (weighed in a cold, objective, mathematical way) considering the 50,000,000 pound elephant in the room. I am fairly certain, even if 50,000 women have been diced in exactly the same way as most of the 50,000,000 babies have been, that would be a small thing.
In mathematical terms under this imaginary scenario, that huge number of horrific crimes would be 1/1000 of the violence committed against those most in need of legal protection, i.e. those least able to protect themselves. The question them becomes, why is it "no big deal" to dice an innocent and helpless human being, but a horrific crime to do the same to an adult?
