And if you vote for Kinky, you will be voting for liars. Just look at all the Dems and what they say. He is a DEMOCRAT.

When a sitting republican governor in Tx can not poll above 40% he has and most likely is the problem.

I can only guess you don't live in Houston. I see nothing wrong with "offering" a free bus ride out of town.
To: Orange1998
I would pay for a ticket or two myself for some of them.

Out Today:
Perry 30.7
Bell 25.3
Friedman 22.4
Strayhorn 11.1
From the Wall Stree Journal.
What about the Libertarian candidate, James Werner? Are there any numbers for him? (Not that it makes any difference, really...)

And when someone running against him cannot even get near that high, he is certainly NOT the answer.

I do not think he was on the poll.

We shall see, Perry is slipping and the others are rising.

The biggest problem here is that there is not a republican in the race. I liken it to a democratic primary where the republicans have the majority of votes.

I agree that there is not a good Republican, however, turning our state over to a nut case would be unforgiveable. Kinky started this whole thing as a joke--a bet--.I do not want someone like that in the governor's office.

That Wall Street poll totals up to 89.5, so there is 10.5 that is either not sure and/or libertarian.
I've talked at length with other conservative republicans that have grown VERY tired of Perry and his lack of "truth in advertising". I may vote for James Werner, just because I know he won't win, and I'm similar in mindset regarding his view of government in general. (It's just the drug platform of libertarians that bother me, and I'm not impressed with what republicans have attempted to do on that, either.)
If republicans would just simply ACT like republicans, we wouldn't have this discussion.

And I repeat, vote your conscience, but be ready to live with it...if you like Democrats in charge.

Amen to that. We need Republicans that are true Republicans.

Kinky is a recycled Jesse Ventura, without the SEAL attribution. Even his "man in black" persona is a copy. His campaign manager is just using his left over material from Minnesota (and probably being paid very well for it by people that would surprise you).

I could not agree more.

Good. Jesse balanced the budget, cut spending, refunded money to the tax payers, and told a major league sports team the state would not build them a new stadium, all things I would happily support in TX.
