The Carnival Cruise Lines ship Imagination is shown docked Monday, Sept. 11, 2006 at the Port of Miami in Miami. Authorities were investigating the disappearance of an Ohio woman reported missing Monday who was traveling aboard Imagination on a four-day cruise to Key West, Fla., and Calica, Mexico. The family didn't report her missing for two or three days? With family like that, who needs...
"relatives last saw the woman Saturday night, but did not report her missing until Monday"
Not really "two or three days."
Maybe she was such a big B---ch that they were glad she went somewhere else.
I'll never understand why people waste money on cruises when there are so many REAL vacations and destinations to enjoy.
At 37, perhaps her family thought she had met an interesting stranger. Still, you'd think she'd have had and used her cell phone to check in so as not to worry anyone.
A tragedy to be sure, but based on past cases, Carnival will be certainly be blamed out the wazoo. The ingredients on cruise ships are prime for some degree of trouble - thousands of people crammed together on a ship at sea, stops at iffy-foreign ports-of-call, and lots of alcohol and revelry. People shouldn't expect to be 1000 percent safe in that situation. But of course they generally do expect that.
Yep, as soon as the "phony-eyed whiner" comes on, Fox News Channel goes off.
When you've got thousands of partying drunks on a ship, it's no suprise that somebody falls off once in a while.
Yep, it's time to encase the entire exposed deck in an impenetrable wire mesh for the safety and security of the proletariat.
I bet you hate treadmills!!!! :O)
I've heard of "too drunk to fish" but perhaps there's now another category, "too drunk to cruise".
I agree. It seems like a case of cosmic dematerialization to me, where all the person's molecules lose adherence and the person simply vanishes into thin air. Happens all the time.
When I was on a cruise ship, I saw a big shark following us for the longest time, probably looking for food. She probably fell over and now is shark scat....

Heed the advice of New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin and visit the city. At least your body will be found.
