>> The sad part is that a lot of otherwise sane people believe this stuff. <<

Indeed. And their type of sickness is nothing new:

Some philosopher (Edmund Burke?) recognized it during the 18th century. As I recall, he termed it "metaphysical madness."

Thank you for letting us poor Freepers now see the "truth" according to the nutz and not keeping us in the dark. You know, we freepers are so uninformed (because you keep us in the dark and program us so that we can only read FR) that we never even knew all this idiocy was out there...not.

LOL!!! That is great.

Personally, I prefer to think our government is not quite so barbaric.

The US Government didn't kill those people on the planes. It just used those flashie things like the ones used in "Men in Black" to erase their memories...then it relocated them.

To: Dont Mention the War

This was a very complicated conspiracy; so of course they had to start the planning in the 1960s in order to pull it off. Don't be a doubting Thomas, I am sure we will attack Cuba any day now...then you will see...then you will see.

I know, and I'm ashamed, but it was all I could come up with. I want you to know I am not prejudiced against rocks. I didn't want to insult turkeys, mules, or morons. It was all I could think of.

"5. The melting Point of Steel is 3000F and Fire is around 500-700F with burning Jet fuel around 1200-1400F"

And here is where all this BS goes wrong. The steel doesn't NEED to melt---it just has to be WEAKENED to the point that it can no longer support the already-existing stresses of the weight of the building it supported. The WEAKENING of steel occurs at a point FAR below the melting point. Add to that, that the stress load has just been INCREASED over its design limit by a reduction in the number of support elements BROKEN by the impact of the airliner.

Shame on Steve Jones for getting involved in this ****.

I think it was Popular Mechanics, but yeah, they did a good job. Another one is done here, a blog covering the comments of EXPERTS in the field. Then there is this debunking by www.implosionworld.com. THE definitive word on the subject.

A lot of diesel stored there. It was in the "bath tub" that was unsound.
