In this case, however, if ABC were so worried about Dem retribution could they arrange to zap version Z to the satellite at the last minute? It's possible, but not likely. Usually, on weekends, the tech crew is made up of part-timers and newbies as there isn't much of anything important going on in the master control room and the networks as well as the local stations work around this as much as possible. To redo and re-feed it this late in the game would require the network to call people in (at the union overtime rate) and do some fast shuffling.
It could be done, but not without making a lot of waves at both ends.
They could, theoretically, re-edit it and run the edited version on the network "barefoot" (without backup).

That's because they're all in a corner, sucking their thumbs and pulling out pieces of their hair. Catatonic state comes to mind!

I'm wondering if they won't wise up and try to kill it with silence.

There's a guy on that site who is saying that Bill Clinton couldn't protect the American people because Republicans were hassling him about the sex thing. Republicans were just distracting Clinton too much and he couldn't get anything done.
LOL.
Unbelievable.

I hope it's unedited. I had planned on not watching it because of that, but, I probably will now.

It's Sunday -- they're all probably still at church.

By the way, I caught most of CNN's "Footsteps of Bin Laden" last night, and it was excellent. I'd never known about his past or how he came to be what he is now. No rational person can watch it and come away believing that the U.S. is to blame for the rise of Islamofascism.
Thanks to the FReepers who've mentioned it during the past week, or I wouldn't have known about it.

I hope some of these series are saved on the Internet for streaming for those of us who will miss them.

I remember an ABC primetime special on Osama back in 1996 or 1997. One full hour. I have gone through old
TV Guides trying to find the name of the special, plus the original air date, to no avail.
Looking for proof since it's quite hard to convince someone that there was a primetime special dedicated to Osama bin Laden, shown on American network TV, almost 10 years ago!
I doubt many people saw it the first time around, loooooooong before 9/11.

Clintons are supposedly incredibly PR savvy and yet they've drawn all this attention to this movie that they supposedly didn't want folks to seeI think they believed they could squelch it totally, like the swiftboat special that was killed before the election. If successful then they could claim it was a victory for "fairness" and spin their way home. It appears they may have overestimated their strength, which is a good omen for America.
