Big deal. I carry knives into airports all the time and I don't even declare them. However, I do have them in my checked baggage (perfectly legal by the way).

Of course there was that time when I forgot to take a little pocket knife out of my laptop case and it went right throught the security check-point undetected. I didn't find out about it until I got to my hotel but it gave me a chuckle or two.
