How can you ask for that on a public forum read by friend and foe alike?

Loose lips and all that.

A Christian would be asked Christian relevant questions. The Israelis aren't either stupid or biased. They're careful.

Your typical Yemeni probably isn't all that sure about what you mean by "weapon". These guys normally drip knives, and no well-dressed gentleman goes on the street without his RPG.

Several years back I showed a picture of folks in the small town where I was born back in the 1880s with their guns and beards, and he showed me a picture of him and his cousins.

The pictures were the same except the Americans wore mostly dark clothes and the Yemenis wore light colored clothing.

The time-dilation factor confuses the picture.

Now when someone asks "where's Bubba this week?" just tell them he's off in search of another dress to stain.

Ghanem works as a busboy and lives in Hamtramck with family members

I have another question - do busboys get special rates from airlines in order to fly from Michigan to Yemen? They must, or he must get paid really well to be a busboy.

It may have BEEN for peeling fruit. The ridiculous TSA ought to be letting EVERYBODY bring weapons on board planes, including guns, so in case this muslim's knife was NOT for peeling fruit, the rest of the passengers could take him down faster than you could say "Global Jihad."

"He said he didn't know where the knife came from," Ayad told the Detroit Free Press.

Well, now, THAT's certainly innocuous. /s

Looked like a rhetorical question to me.

Risking one of their men on $500,000 bail to smuggle a knife in a phone book as a dry run. That's quite a price to pay for "noise." Follow the money?

There is one impolite, politically incorrect explanation for much crazy Muslim behavior....

It has been postulated that Muslims are psychologically unstable, due in large part to genetic factors. These people, especially Arab Muslims, have been inbreeding for millenia. They usually marry within their own clan, and hardly ever outside their tribal unit. The influx of oil money beginning in the 1960's only made it worse.

For example: Osama bin Laden, is one of 75 children born to a Yemeni sequentially married to at least 30 cousins, many of them actually sisters. Osama has fathered upwards of 70 children of unions with perhaps 25 or 30 of his cousins, many of them sisters.

Check out ObL physically. Tall, gangly, prognathous features, deaf, poor eyesight, kidney problems, and bonkers. This guy could walk down any street in Riyadh and no one would give him a second glance. Since he can walk and talk, the Saudis probably consider HIS birth defects minimal! Sorry, whenever one deals with an Arab, it might help one to remember that the Arab is the product of hundreds of generations of what we westerners might reasonably consider medically dangerous incestuous inbreeding. Even if an Arab appears reasonably normal in the physical sense, he might very well be a mental case. Worse, these in-breeding habits have led to a huge population increase in Arab countries since the '60s. E.G. Saudi Arabia QUINTUPLED it's population, leaving a surfeit of very ignorant young men, many of them displaying the endemic mental (and physical)problems, with absolutely nothing to do except hang around the mosques, train as terrorists and fantasize of stepping into a dynamite jockstrap to qualify for their 72 virgins.

I bet you my finest camel that young Mohammed Ghanem was going home to marry his cousin. I bet you my finest Arabian stallion that this stud was also eventually going to marry her sister. A flock of my goats says his parents are cousins. I also bet you that young Mohammed is nuttier than a fruitcake.

Why else would he bring a knife to a night flight?

Big deal. I carry knives into airports all the time and I don't even declare them. However, I do have them in my checked baggage (perfectly legal by the way).

Of course there was that time when I forgot to take a little pocket knife out of my laptop case and it went right throught the security check-point undetected. I didn't find out about it until I got to my hotel but it gave me a chuckle or two.
