I don't care what the original article said, there is no reason to pile on a serving American Officer that is found alive after being reported missing in an Islamic country.
None!
If someone wants to fight Islamos and we train them how to do it why should you want to look in their pants?
I say give them pink uniforms so those Mohammadeon myrmidons will know without a doubt it was a woman that dusted them into a dirt-nap.
now you're talkin! Wouldn't it be great if it turns out that she really showed them what a mistake they made by grabbing her.
Piling on is your opinion. The way the original news came in and the Pentagon quote lead to me wondering what went on. I don't apologize for that.
she didn't know never to be alone/unescorted in a sharia country ? ...how come ?
You will NOT believe some of the posts on this thread. I cannot believe many of the posters on this thread are really freepers. This thread reads like DU. I would have never believed in a million years freepers would trash a member of our military like this without waiting for more facts. Seeing is believing and I am seeing more and more threads on FR where military members are not given even a tiny benefit of a doubt but instead are heaped on like this.
I would just like to add to all, my prayers are with the Major and her family, as well as my support.
I have to go pick up my daughter but will reply to some of these posts when I return.
Fortunately, there are plenty of women serving who have protected your right to state your opinion.
Well sh*thead I never showed her any disrespect. So why don't you stay away from the keyboard until you learn how to read, and are able to put down the bottle?
Not apologizing makes me question your motives even more especially since you were told more then once not to throw out such wild accusations.
You believe in women in combat then, I don't.
Female U.S. Air Force major is found in Kyrgyzstan
LEILA SARALAYEVA
Associated Press
BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan - A U.S. Air Force officer who went missing earlier this week near the Kyrgyz capital was found alive and told police in the Central Asian nation she had been kidnapped, officials said Saturday.
Maj. Jill Metzger, 33, knocked on the door of a house in Kant, a town about 22 miles from the capital, Bishkek, shortly before midnight Friday and told its residents that she had been kidnapped, Kyrgyz Deputy Interior Minister Omurbek Suvanaliyev said.
Metzger, who disappeared while shopping for souvenirs in Bishkek on Tuesday, told Kyrgyz law enforcement agents she had been abducted by three young men and a woman in a minibus and held in a rural area about 50 kilometers (30 miles) from Bishkek, Suvanaliyev told The Associated Press, citing local police in Kant.
She was exhausted and her hair had been dyed, he said.
Earlier, Metzger's father-in-law, Kelly Mayo, told The Associated Press in Colorado Springs, Colorado, that the Air Force's Office of Special Investigations said she was found on the side of the road with her head shaven - and he also indicated she had been kidnapped and beaten.

LOL
That's why I joined the Air Force. I didn't think I was suited for the Army, Navy or Marine Corp!
We really did march to tech school with brief cases folks! There were some Marines on base, attending a special equipment course, that saw it happen and got a really big kick out of it!
You should remember that in the Air Force by far, most of the officers go to war and much fewer enlisted personnel, by percentage, see the forward edge of battle.
And Bob Hope agrees, His mildly irreverent humor, teamed with his variety troupe's beautiful women, provided a welcome respite for the U.S. forces, a reminder, in Hope's words, "of what they were fighting for."
To those of you that jumped to conclusions on this thread about the Major and her husband I feel very ashamed for you. How can you throw accusations of "AWOL" and "runaway bride" at a member of our military serving overseas without waiting for any facts? I think just the fact that someone has chosen to serve in the military should be reason enough to wait for facts before jumping in with the wild accusations.
Where are the prayers and show of support for this Major and her family in what has to be a very stressful time? As I read this thread I had to keep checking to make sure I wasn't on DU. I cannot believe freepers would react this way to this story. The sad thing is I have seen several threads lately where freepers jump to nasty conclusions about members of the military without waiting for the whole story.
I like the way you think :~) I'd almost even wear pink for it!
I'm glad she is found and safe.
Maybe You Can Tell Us Just How Today's Military Could
Mantain Combat Ready Forces Without Women ???
What Branch Of The Military Were You In ?
Amazing isn't it? It would seem she didn't run away with some islamic lover like some have suggested afterall.
I bet they feel stupid right about now for running off at the mouth without waiting for the facts.
