I'm sure it's pure coincidence that they rented his house.
Crooked New Jersey Democrat... another "dog bites man" story..
I wish I could think for even a second that this would hurt his election chances...or he will actually have to go to trial fo this..
But, the way things are going...he will probably jump 20% in the polls after this report.
B-1 Bob has to be lovin' this.
"But, the way things are going...he will probably jump 20% in the polls after this report."
Never fear.. if Menendez is still behind in the polls in October (and/or is facing indictment), the NJ Supreme Court will swap another Democrat onto the ballot. Just following their own precedent that they set in 2002.
Rats are to corruption as fish are to water.
Karl Rove strikes again. A trumped up investigation to hurt the Democratic candidate. (sarcasm off)
Isn't that the Toricelli rule???
How they going to throw him out and replace him with a sure winner?
OK, time to wake up. He is a democrat; he is from New Jersey; he is privileged to stand outside and beyond any laws that might apply to you or to me.
A lib scandal in New Jersey? What a surprise.
Geee...I wonder...can Frank LauSenberg RESIGN his Senate seat and then run for Menendez's? After all, its no more unlikely a scenario as what happened the last time around....
The dems have until Sept. 20th to swap the candidates. Get ready!
Can you say "CULTURE OF CORRUPTION"?
I thought so....
What's that about Culture of Corruption you say... San Fran Nan?
Can you say "Sen. Kean?"
I think this race just went from tossup to lean R.
Don't be overly optimistic. Kean needs to have 55% of the vote on a legitimate basis to overcome the inevitable election fraud.
It's a well-known fact (reported in the local newspapers as a "humorous" item) that, as late as the 1970s, most of the mechanical voting machines had been altered to record only 7-8 of every 10 Republican votes cast in Hudson County. That's in addition to the infamous "ticket system" and cemetary voting which continues to this day.
Furthermore, to register to vote in New Jersey, you need to provide no proof of residence, photo identification, or any other identification. A signature is all that is required. It's a 10 minute ride on the PATH subway to Jersey City from Manhattan.
Kean needs 55%.
I still can't stand Kean, by the way, given his refusal to support Rumsfeld and Vice President Cheney. Kean needs to start talking conservative values if he wants my vote on election day.

I believe that Torricelli was swapped out during the second week of October. Laws don't apply for Democrat politicians in New Jersey.
Also keep in mind that buying a house for the head of the public employees union didn't keep our current governor from getting elected.
New Jersey voters get the corrupt politicians that they deserve.
